Dangerous topic as I feel you’ll be judged! Has anyone approached the topic with friends and told them what you do as a couple. Thinking of telling my friend and she always raves about him and I’d love it to happen x

I always struggle to know when to tell someone I'm dating that I'm into into. I guess you have to be prepared to lose them if you do tell.

I told a friend years ago that me and my then girlfriend fantasise about sex with others and he replied that he and his wife were into that.

We met them the next weekend at theirs it was an amazing night and met several times after.

As long as you are happy for all your friends, neighbours, family, everyone in your town to know, some will take the piss and laugh at you.

Once your mate tells one other person everyone will know.

There's a difference between telling a friend what you do and trying to involve them.

Yes some friends know but we never tried to involve them. Told them 20 years ago and it's never been an issue. They ask some details but not the fine details. Wanted to know what our first trip to a club was like though. they wanted to know if how they imagined it matched up to reality.

It didn't lol.

But yeah, be careful how you try to involve good friends. Talking is one thing but you cant un-shag them after and it could change the dynamics of your freindship.

When I lived in London, one of my neighbours used to pull everyone's leg announcing, when was I going to join the town's racket club.... Because it was for all the swingers. That always say a bit uneasy with me, because at the time I was at Abfabs and Kestrals most Fridays and weekends.

I later found that the racket club was the excuse for many a bored housewife, and the ladies of South West London would go to the club to find a little distraction whilst hubby was in the city.

I say, mention it in passing and the more blasé you are, the less a reaction you'll get.

That matches my experience too. Once a friend visited upexpectedly when I was out at my girl-friend's and my then wife told him where I was and that we both had sex with other people. He was surprised but it never went any further (and we are still friends). On another occasion we were staying with friends and my wife told them we had 3somes with a male friend. They really didn't seem very interested.

In recent years there is only one close friend who knows, and again there is no question anything happening.
