I recently got into amateur photography and I’m getting bored of wildlife and taking pics of my dog haha.

I was wondering if anyone on here is interested in using me for some pics or vids? Not looking to get paid and have all the software/equipment to do professional quality. I currently don’t have lights but will have them soon enough and then might set up a studio at home but can travel just as easy

We used an amateur photographer, but it was someone we knew and trusted. You may have some issues getting people to trust you with taking intimate photos straight off the bat without building a trusting relationship first.

Just our thoughts

That’s actually a very good point! I didn’t even think of it from that perspective to be honest. I think you’re right, I don’t think I’d trust someone with a load of my naked content right off the bat without knowing or trusting them

Thanks!

I’m guessing this is a really common thing on here then? haha. Maybe I need to ditch the idea haha

From experience, and no disrespect to anyone, but amateur photographers and amateur models = amateur pics which can disillusion everyone if you're hoping for something more.

You don't know how to pose models or the best angles to work with, they don't know how to pose and work with you. If you're all happy with that then great, but if you want to improve as a photographer then really advise hiring a professional model to work with. Learn from them and see what works and what doesn't!

That’s genuinely great advice! I definitely need to get some practise with people and thought this would be a good, mutually beneficial thing but you’ve got a point with the quality. I’m under no illusion that I’d be able to do the same job as a pro.

Maybe more experience is needed on my part

People do occasionally ask for someone to take some pictures for them. Keep an eye out for such requests or maybe someone will contact you off the back of this thread.

I'd say that anybody who did ask you to take some pictures will ask to see some professional quality images that you've already taken, what you intend to do with the images and what you expect from a photo shoot.

I wouldn’t have any intention with the photos, I’d supply them to the other party and then delete them. I think I’m going to take the advice on getting some help from professional models and see if I can build a portfolio and some experience that way

Thanks for the help!

Consider creating a portfolio of work online. Two reasons; it shows you are committed and serious enough actually have a portfolio in the first place. Secondly, even though you do not have experience in boudoir photograph, It will show your work and style.

Perhaps look to street photography as a in to talking shots of people.

All these aspects will help you to gain trust with prospective models
