Birmingham Airport

As an offshoot from another thread, let's have a look at these:

A. Too fat/thin/muscular for me

B. Too hairy for me

C. Too white/brown/black for me

D. Too arrogant/rude/soft for me

E. Too... etc for me.

When you come to any of the above réalisations after receiving a message, a lot have advocated blocking. Others will opt for "ignore" because it is their right and nobody can "tell me how to run my profile". Others yet have gone for the "no thanks" approach.

Something tells me there is an emotional attachment to the block button where some feel that resorting to that option means they have lost in some kind of duel;ie, "why do I have to use the block button when you can clearly see I am not interested?"

As usual, comments and thoughts on a postcard please as it is raining where I am.

Blocking just seems like a harsh thing to do if the person hasn't offended you imho. I realise now people do it for varying reasons. Theres also the implication you're a horrible person if you block for ‘innocent’ reasons.

None of the above. I only block due to bad interactions or very very occasionally due to something they posted on a forum.

Derbyshire village

We might block if the person isn't at all what we're looking for, saves em messaging again or us accidentally looking at em again. Apart from that, we only block nobheads really.

We block well in advance of getting messaged.

We look who has viewed, if 30 or below, block

60 or above, block

Male is Bi or curious, block.

The list goes on and on and as we said in another thread, ours is well into the thousands now.

Rude = Block

We wouldn't block just because we're not suited. Someone may have a question or want some advice, we're happy to answer if it's sensible.

We found the block button after getting messages from people who have been or were suggesting meeting during lockdown.
