I usually mainly plan my meets as I just can’t be arse with the whole meet now situation, could be doing 1200 different things and I have to say it annoys the hell out of me when guys just message with “meet me now please”

I may not be in the mood, be eating ice cream and looking like total crap. It takes effort especially for a lady!!

It’s not like you are in a club dancing and u are there and ready and you see a person u fancy and decide to go home together..

I also love the anticipation of a meet with a guy I’ve been chatting for a bit. Doesn’t have to be months, but even 4-5 days of chatting away and planning a meet can make the meet more enjoyable

I literally had to put it on my profile that meet now doesn’t work for me

What do you prefer? And does the whole meet now thingy annoys u as well?

Generally prefer to plan, you have the build up anticipation that adds to the whole thing. I like a social as well if I've not met them before.

I've done meet now's but tends to be with people I already know/met so more comfortable around and they take me as I am that day x

I like to get to know someone a bit first by chatting and then a social. The sense of anticipation is still there once you’re ready to meet and it’s safer too. I’d never just meet a random.

Exactly , I think the whole build up anticipation adds so so much to the meet. Otherwise it’s more like when you go for a cheap take away and then feel like u should have not gone LOL

But the anticipation of going to your favourite restaraunt or a fancy new place... well

Only had one women ask me to 'meet now'.

I'd met her socially just before lockdown and she seemed normal enough.

But then for a few nights in a row, she'd message me asking me to go around to hers and she wouldn't accept that I couldn't.

Even after saying my kids were in bed, she suggested leaving them on their own as they'd be fine

Had to block her in the end. Probably a good escape.

The idea of someone (who has already met me for a social) wanting me enough to meet now is great. It's just not always viable.

I can’t believe coming from a woman, saying leave your kids they will be fine. What the actual.

As I said, people got shit to do... and I think, how would they feel if someone was pressuring them to meet now and they are going on doing their business

We definitely prefer planned with people we have been chatting to for a while. The build up and anticipation is a huge part of it for me.

I find 'meet now' messages a big turn off. No matter how good looking the person is.

We prefer the meet now.

But that's meet now for us,when we want to meet,when it suits us.

We have found with planned meets something nearly always gets in the way,family mostly.

So if we have a night to ourselves,and feeling horny,the meet now works grand for us

Char has ongoing post-chemo health issues and generally needs a day before and after a meet to rest, so "wanna meet now" is out of the question. With my odd work hours, it can make arranging stuff difficult and some of our meets have been planned two weeks ahead. I think that adds to the numbers of no-shows and cancellations we get.

“Meet now” just doesn’t work for us. As this is stated clearly in our profile, any message asking gets deleted without response. Clearly the sender hasn’t read the profile.

We like to plan, well ahead, mainly because meets are arranged around everyday life, not the other way round. It also gives us time to tease each other about what is likely to happen. All adds to the excitement.
