Hi everyone, I hope everyone is staying safe

Question, is it me or do people really leave their age range at 18-99 deliberately, or are they lazy or just forget. I must admit I find “forget “ har to believe as its part of the set up process

Just curious

I take it as meaning they like to meet people and aren't constrained by age.

I don't know why some people see it as an issue. No matter the age range on their profile it doesn't mean they will meet everyone within that age range.

I would think the first thing a woman does on setting up a profile is to change the age range to that which appeals to her . Conversely a man will skip past it in the rush to start looking at profiles and photos.

We have 18-99...ok we aren't going to meet a 99 year old... But there's always the chance we could miss out on some one by one year... So we leave it open. We have met people that set their age at 99 that obviously weren't, but it helps them avoid filters

Indeed many of the locals I see with statuses complaining they can’t find a match often have restrictive filters where the “plus (or minus) one year” could make a lot of difference.

When you go to a club you don’t have to wear an age badge - you see all sorts of liaisons that would never happen via online connection lol.

Pretty much this, I have an age range on my profile, but I havent filtered messages based on it. Its more like what youd call guidlines...

Mine says it because I want all ages to come to the social... I am not looking for anyone but if I was my age range would be 25 to 40... That was one of the first things I changed when I joined the first time

This is why I haven’t got my filters on, but have set the desired range. I don’t look 41 and could pass for younger, so age as a complete restriction is a bit annoying.

I frequently can't message people who look interesting due to filters and I see many of the ladies complaining about the idiot mails they get. Perhaps consider us politer oldies?

I think it's very mature of people to not have a limited age range and go off what they see and read on a profile sometimes ignoring age to decide if they want to chat etc. The point is proven about age ranges having been contacted by a few women who's age ranges I am outside after posting new photos so it proves they sometimes limit themselves by assuming men over 50 let themselves go and I think they could be missing out on some very healthy and virile old dudes on this site.

It just limits the inbox craziness... We can also look for ourselves

Ours is up to 45, but that doesn't mean we wouldn't go a bit older, depends on the people themselves. We do get quite a lot of offers from the over 60's for some reason, which is just too old for us.
