I'm a proud Irish man, said the Irish man

I'm a proud English man, said the racist.

Sadly it never will be a public holiday. The term "English and proud" has had its meaning twisted

But it wasn't a public holiday before it had 'its meaning twisted'.

..and I'm not sure I agree with your statement. It's possible to be proud and English, I know lots of them, perfectly nice people.

HAPPY ST GEORGE'S DAY you lovely lot, i am a very Proud English man and not afraid to say it, we should all be aloud to celebrate our national Saints day (like St Patrick's) without any form of guilt or made to feel racist.
