4+ for us personally. We always book our own room at our favourite places, if anyone wants to join us then that would be nice, we please ourselves first

Hotel stars are typically based on facilities and services, so add a poky little shop etc and you can get more.

Would meet stars be based on subjective opinion or objective criteria? Certainly very late-comers, poor communicators deserve a star fewer. If partners' needs came first, that would be a good customer service equivalent. Did they deliver on the promised goods?

There should potentially be greater difficulty in getting full stars, than the basics. Arrived, used holes and departed, isn't a 7 star worthy reputation builder.

There could also be the equivalent of secret hotel inspectors, a la Alex Polizzi. After a reasonable number of reviews, preventing users guessing who the secret Shag Inspector is, they would get the official rating awarded.
