Not sure I'd say it was strange.

I'd guess people disappear for lots of reasons, we've no idea what's going on in someone's life at any given time. Or maybe they just got fed up and deleted.

This has happend to me quite a few times, it can be frustrating. I think that maybe the person wasnt genuine (usually single gay man creating a female/couple profile) or they are getting unindated and its a bit too much so they decide to delete there accounts

Couldn't it just be that we don't know about their lives? Rather than always negative implications? ... Has happened once or twice and I just assume that this little extra in their life just doesn't fit at that moment ... so no worries!

We have had similar experiences - but consider it a feature of any online experience. But sometimes people shut down their profile to take a break. We find it too awkward to stop/start. Just take a break and you can always just say "no thanks". x A & G

Hell yes, lots. I've now discovered that if they completely vanish with all your messages too then they have left site or been removed. Simply blocking someone only removes 'friends', your messages remain. Then there's the sea of damn rude folk (and so-called 'friends') who change their minds and you're the last to know after several read but ignored messages !

happens more than you think.

people ghost for no reason other than they have had their fun and binned you.

they have a narcissistic personality disorder so they like power and control.

just block so they cannot return Ever!

Don't worry too much about it. She probably decided you weren't for her and moved on.

My block list is so long you can't scroll to the end of it lol . I don't know about narcissistic folk but there is a sea of bad mannered and fake ones on here for sure...

Yes it happens a lot but some reappear, often forgetting all previous conversations.

Sadly it happens in both fun meets and those asking for photo shoots, Meets for fun i can understand when the nerves cut in and they loose their bottle.. But photo shoots i'm finding the male wants the photos done but the female of the couple is reluctant to be photographed by a stranger, i'd say half the enquires do turn up..

From more to life than a social media site must have found something better and moved on.

Like others have said it could be for a number of real life issues etc. People come and go.

Had this in the past, then when they rejoin they expect to pick up where you left off.

Could be any number of reasons op, try not to dwell on it or it will drive you mad.

Yes it has happened to me.

Got chatting to a lovely lady here, many messages, all very convivial and eventually we swapped "real life names and identities", which for me is a very big deal as I have a rather public job!

Anyway, to cut a long story short, messages have just stopped coming back. I know she has a full-on life at home and so therefore know that "life gets in the way" but just a message saying I am fine, so long and thanks for all the fish, would be nice rather than total silence?

Serves me right for caring? Some, I am sure, would just not care if the other person who was ghosting them was OK??

Yes they all have an odd minute for a short reply so no excuse whatsoever. Some folk are just damn rude.
