I read their profile and then if we are I think we could potentialy have a connection, I will answer back or initiate the connection.

If you read people profile you will get a idea of what they are looking for

If the attraction isn’t there, a ‘great’ message won’t make any difference, whereas a ‘poor’ message from someone we find attractive won’t necessarily mean no interest from us.

Gotta say I'm immediately turned off by a bum pic from a guy. Why would you send that to a woman you wanna meet for sex?! Don't understand!!

Shangri-la

I look at a profile & determine whether the person is of any interest before I decide whether to open a message.

As far as message content goes, I appreciate it when they demonstrate that they took the time to read my profile & refer to it in some way & when they make the effort to tell me a bit more about themselves. Humour also goes down well.

Anything along the lines of "Hi", "how you doing?" or similar is very unlikely to make me engage in conversation.

Copy and pasted messages are generally easy to spot and show that they aren't genuinely interested in me.

I’ve found that those who put a simple “Hi” really don’t intend to engage in conversation or meet but those who put a bit of effort in warrant a reply and usually result in meeting.

I always read their profile, if I don't match what they're looking for I don't message at all.

If we're looking for similar I'll comment on their profile, a photo I like or their status.

I ask a question too so they have something to reply too. Dislike getting a message that is just a statement with nothing to reply too & making it harder to strike up a conversation

Wales/ All over UK

I usually send a friendly and polite message briefly introducing myself and what I’m interested in, including adding a face picture... never send a dick pic unless it’s specifically requested

We would look at the sender's profile before we open the message,if they are clearly not what we are looking for,ie don't match what our profile requests, there's no point opening the message.

If they do match, then we expect a bit more than, how's you?,what you at?,what you looking for? etc

Read their profile, pay them a compliment on a photo, be polite, refer to something they've written about.

Something funny is always a win. Show your personality a little and try not to copy & paste, these messages are very easy to spot

I read the profile but like to keep things simple at first to see if we get on . My pet hate is when someone is very demanding in their first message!
