Do you see a profile, perhaps on the forum, and then realise you blocked them.... but have no idea why?

I don't ever remember blocking anyone, if someone is rude to me I just ignore them, it makes them feel a little worse I think

Yes but I have a small list of reasons as to why I'd block someone I haven't interacted with . So it would have to be one of them

I was blocked for whatever reason and then messaged after seeing me interact on the forums. They obviously forgot why they blocked me. Still blocked btw.

We actually played with a couple who we later found out we'd blocked. It was because of a random friend request, we really shouldn't be so harsh!!

Generally for "wanna fuck" knuckle dragging messages.

Only people I've blocked from the forums are after finding out they've blocked me ... no idea why, but it's just easier

Or because I've posted to the same tread, I must just wanna be their friend!!!! Not that we've spoken directly. My block list is extensive and admired.

I’ve only ever blocked people when they’ve been exceptionally abusive to me. Repeated messages and friend requests don’t bother me. Just ignore and move on.

Our block list has got longer/bigger !! and mostly due to either rude or just ..here's my knob ..fancy some fun ..or i've a large one how about it ?? and although it is a very big ego boost for mr4 to be called babe...sexy ..he fully realizes he's not so he goes on a massive downer and binges on choc hob knobs etc etc etc all rather sad to have his hopes dashed on the cruel rocks of reality

?

I rarely block people, and only if they're utter twatwaffles (apart from a few who I knew many moons ago in a previous incarnation on here who I don't want to fraternise with now) ...I generally just ignore. So to answer your question, I might forget the exact ins and outs over time time, but I know they will have been an arse at some point for me to block them.

Yep, usually it's because they're some "just our preference" bigotry in their profile. Which is always a shame when they seem really nice otherwise.

If the profile requires blocking I add a note to it as a reminder then block. It can be very awkward when you run into the person behind the profile at a party, maybe years after blocking them. That works vice versa too

But then there's no way to read the note unless you unblock them! So many awkward issues around here seem to be rooted in outdated and poor website technology

I particularly like it when you get folk complaining that people they’ve blocked can read and respond to their posts in the forum. The meltdowns in the politics forum are spectacular to witness

hotel or at yours

I block profiles where I know that i am not going to get along. Sometimes I find a comment on a post that I like and realised that I have blocked them (or they have blocked me). I haven’t figured out an easier way to say which is which in the last 8 year or so

Your notes are the one thing you still have access to on a blocked profile.
