We had a tradesman to do some work a couple of years ago that turned into an odd encounter. This guy arrived to measure up, but not actually do the job. He was a pleasant chap, decent looking and quite outgoing. Once he had done his bit he didn't seem to want to leave. Being civil brits we have him a cup of tea and a chat started.
