Being blocked

Help everyone, is blocking a power thing? In my messages I'm always polite, read the profile and verifications first, if its a no thank you not for me, always respectful of others preferences, I understand we all can't respond to messages, I'm thinking of using it more now, mainly to ensure I don't message the same person twice and to offend, x what do you all think? Power, control or just rude x

It could be power or head games, it could be boundaries or preferences, it could be anything or nothing.

Nothing you can do about it, best not to dwell.

I never used to block but blocked a few recently, just due to lack of respect, abusive comme ts or constantly asking me to say I will meet or make plans to meet which I try and be polite then I now just block saves alot if grief.

Blocking can be a filter thing also.

I will block a prifle who reads and deletes my messgae so they dont pop up in future searches, as by deleting they have said no thanks.

I also block profiles if i dont agree with or like their staus or profile, again they dont pop up in searches.

The block button is a useful tool, and if being blocked upset or annoys you, you are too fragile to be on a site like this where rejection will always be much higher than success

Absolutely this, I block those who are explicit that I don’t meet their requirements or they don’t meet mine. It’s nothing personal but I don’t really need to see their statuses or updates. We are clearly here for different things and that’s fine

We tend to block for persistent messaging when we don't reply as a non reply is a no thank you as per site rules, no power games, just no interest.

I only block people who ask to meet and it's a firm no thank you.

That's only so they don't message me again, because they forgot they already had a no thank you.

I prefer that they block if not interested, I know from a friend that any woman can receive over 400 odd if not more messages a day to which most are "hi" or "how's you?" Even after requesting things like that not happen. Blocking I think is an easier let down then having a rejected person swamp them with abusive messages because it's hurt their ego and they need to assert themselves.

It doesn't matter whether your courteous and friendly some times people just don't click with the message you send. Don't take it to heart I'm sure you'll win some over with charm and conversation before anything else don't give up it doesn't mean they're on a power trip.

I block probably 5 a day, for example they may say “no baldies” that’s offensive as fk I think, or other reasons for age, or what they seek, or if they have legs spread wide with their gaping pussy full off some things you don’t ever want to see, or a fanny that would be better off with a tube of Canesten in it as opposed to anything else, they may be demanding, not my type, me not theirs and in some cases where the couple or lady are just so dammed gorgeous and I don’t suit their needs because it’s sometimes easier to block than see them popping up in say a local feed.

If OB1Kinobi was in here he would say to Luke Skywalker” use the block Luke”

I have never ever used it as a spiteful thing though, don’t be rude in a message then block... that’s just ignorant and childish.

It's the norm on here even after one message if the person doesn't want to reply they may just block you so you don't get that chance. Just have to move on

I wouldn’t necessarily take that as a spiteful thing, I would maybe do that so that I wouldn’t bother you in the future with another possible unwanted message.

I tend to give about 2/3 weeks then block.

I would not take it personally. We are looking for certain things. If you are not it is our perogative if we remove them from viewing our profile.

We do also block if people keep messaging whe. We have never responded. It becomes tiresome.

I think it's a good tool op,

It's an idea to block those who don't respond or say no thanks, as it can save you messaging them again.

I use it to block pests and those on my updates that I wouldn't want to engage with.

Totally! I (he) was 40ft up in a crane, quickly checked the phone and checked fab (not wise) wanted to give a proper response as I thought it had legs, blocked by the time I got to break an hour later. Some message about how crappy we were for not even replying when read, what a jerk, we probably would've ended up meeting.

With numerous messages everyday, sometimes we delete few messages without even reading depending on what mood we are in for.. ie if at any point of time we looking for a BBC, then any messages from any single or couple other than a BBC gets rejected without reading .. it can happen vice versa too... but we never block anyone, unless he turns into a annoying pest ..

The block function isn’t ‘rude’; it’s a tool for you to use. It saves time both for you and others. Don’t take it personally - it gives you more time to chat to other people rather than those who might turn round much later and say ‘not interested’.

Nowhere on your profile do you mention an interest in bbc but do about Caucasian couples, maybe those who message have read your profile and think they might be of interest to you.

If I've already politely said no thanks but people repeat message then I block.

There's a limit to the number of times I can say I'm not interested.

I block people for a number of reasons, but its never meant in an offensive/rude/power trip way. Its a tool that different people use for a variety of reasons - use it to do what you need it to do for you, and hopefully it'll make your Fab experience more enjoyable.

I block people to break hearts and make them cry. Making they wish they were my friend or playmate. So they stay up at night thinking of all the horny fun they could have had with me. Because I'm a complete and utter cruel heartless bitch.

Actually I've never blocked anyone

I don't see how it's a power thing it's just someone doesn't want anymore interaction with you.

I block for several different reasons. Abuse is one which luckily I don't get too much of as I have filters tight. Or if someone consistently messages me after I have said no thanks already.Sometimes if someone in the forum's posts things over a period of time and I realise we are completely incompatible I block or if someone Keeps showing up on my updates with abusive or crude statuses I block so I don't keep seeing them. There are a few reasons I block it's usually just because it stops people messaging you later on .

Blocking is a handy tool on here and if I see someone has blocked me I just counter block and move on it doesn't bother me .

We block anyone who we feel is of no interest to us, mainly from local updates and occasionally from the forum. I suppose you could say it's about control as blocking stops those that we aren't interested in from messaging us.

Most times it's nothing personal, just a way to reduce admin

Pretty much this.

Its not a power thing or being rude, but if they are not interested then it prevents them appearing in future searches.
