Life-ban from Tinder and I have no idea what I’m supposed to have said/done. They don’t do “Appeals” or explanations.

Odd, I’m always polite and wasn’t even engaged in any particularly suggestive chat. Maybe my email/username was hacked? Did I fall asleep and lay on my phone, my movement typing random rude/offensive drivel to someone? I wasn’t even d*unk. I’ll never know..

I think the worst thing I ever typed was something like “...I wouldn’t be able to keep my hands off you...” was that taken literally and misunderstood as being non-consensual behaviour, rather than simple flattery?

But that’s it: banned for life.

Anyone else experienced this?

This happened to me few years back, like u i had no idea why, tried emailing and complaining but they dont budge so gave up.

Until I got a 2nd phone with new payg number.

Tinder recognise ur phone number and that is why u are unable to log in , or rejoin on the original phone.

Hope this helps as I know how frustrating it is to be banned for no reason.

Yes, good to know it wasn’t just me. I won’t be changing my phone number - I’ll just have to manage without.

Shame, as I work all over the UK; it was handy for finding new partners.

U could try changing the sim card just to rejoin, then swap back as they cost pennies. No guarantees but worth a punt ?

I’ll just switch my App ‘loyalty’ and use another. I’ll get over it; I just feel a bit miffed.

Try bumble or just use the near me filter on here darling. I'm sure you can find plenty of hook-ups xx

A quick google and a read of Tinder’s guidelines has given plenty of reasons why people get banned, and I can see the example you’ve given being considered a threat. Nudity, sexual content, and inappropriate messages or pictures are also not allowed, so if you put anything along those lines on your profile or in your messages, and someone reported it, that might explain it as well.

Also banned from Tinder. I used as a hookup app and no more so profile had reference to my Dominant side as well as images along those lines. After reading this thread I'm guessing that's why.

I found it shit though anyhow, so it's no great loss to me. I always found POF easier to find quick hookups.

Happened to me on a popular dating site years ago. No idea what I did but one day I couldn’t log in and I had a message saying I had been banned from the site.

No fucking clue how I broke a big enough rule to get me banned.
