Exactly. There's no predicting how things will be really. Quite often we form a mental image of someone based on our life experiences, our perceptions of how they are. That can only ever be 2D until you've met someone.

I had a meet when I was in a couple (about 6 years ago) to meet another couple from here. Turn up, the guy is in a wheelchair and has no use of his lower body. Hadn’t told us about it.

My partner decided “fuck it, we’re here now” and so the swapping began.....about 5 mins later we swapped back to our original partners and finished the night

We kept chatting to him anyway and met him a couple of weeks later. He still had the bruises and was a bit sore. Was a fantastic meet though. Really lovely guy.

this is one of the reasons i have only been playing at clubs for sometime, no expectation, no disappointments,

however,

my first ever meet of a guy, when he opened the door it was a completely different person than I was expecting, I was quite suspicious until I checked my phone. It was all my fault, I had looked at the wrong profile. It was actually a great meet and wish I'd stayed longer

Quite a few, over the years but I'm much better at filtering out the unmatched.

1 man was much shorter and rounder than his photos - I pointed out his height difference and he exclaimed he normally wore height enhancing shoes , i didn't progress things to the next stage, to find the other inconsistencies.

When they turn up after using what could be their sons pics, there is immediate distrust.

His idea of a good time was to take me to the motel fuck ne so hard I wouldn't be able to walk,!! I mean charming or what and there was no clue to this barbaric behaviour when chatting. Hence why I am very hesitstant yo meet single men on my own now.

Socials are a must! Was quite interested in a very intelligent man but the entire social was him telling me things that made him grumpy! He was ridiculously self-righteous eco warrior type who genuinely felt dying people shouldn't fly to go swimming with dolphins as it was bad for the planet and they should just shuffle off this mortal coil sharpish! Eventually on the way out I challenged him to specify 5 things that made him happy. He managed "aliens" and "glow worms in a cave in new Zealand" but followed up by ruling out the aliens, as we couldn't tell if they existed.

All the meets we've had with couples have been a let down tbh for various reasons.

Same for single guys, one in particular we suspect is married.

On the other hand Mr met a guy he didn't get on too well with at a gb. After a year or so at another event things clicked and he became a good mmf partner with the Mrs.
