Hello

Part of the “thing” for us is getting nice pics and videos if we were to be playing with someone. Rather than blurry wobbly clips of the bed and then the ceiling which look as if they’ve been filmed by someone who was blindfolded

Any photographer tips?! Lighting seemsto be key from seeing all the much too dark self made videos, but practical tips on avoiding wobbly phone camera, of trying to capture both guys without it seeming to be filmed for 100m away appreciated!

Get a tripod...very cheap to buy. They are best a little higher and then pointing down at an angle onto the bed...much more flattering. Then think of your positioning.

You can get voice activation on your phone so will take pics when it hears noises (screaming f*ck works ).

Or you can leave it shooting the whole video.

Think about the background - you want your subject(s) to “pop” (stand out) from it. The term used in the art world is Figure to Ground.

It’s very often overlooked, but it makes a huge difference to the quality of an image/video. All too often, a perfectly good shot of someone/something gets lost because it bless with background.

A tripod is a great idea, but for those who don’t have one (yet), you can prop your phone up (my mini teapot is an essential part of my pic taking ).

Clear your background, take some pics and have a look to check how it looks, what the lighting is like etc.

Then experiment with moving around and seeing what works for you, try differing heights, you can put the phone on the floor, or on some books to try different angles.

I use portrait and the timer option.

Exactly this... I don’t have a tripod but tend to prop my phone against various things at different heights too to get the right angles! The timer is a godsend xx

Natural and diffused light is usually best too. Also, the further you get from the light source the more quickly the light will fade away.

As others have said, a tripod is essential if you have noone taking the video or pictures for you.

Have some fun experimenting and try black and white or desaturating the picture.

As others have said, tripod is key.

Get a remote for your camera if available... press a button to shoot...

Lighting is key... as is manipulating the photo afterwards... can make some dramatic improvements when editing photos...

Other one is to have the right lens... having options to zoom is important... tripod could be the other side of the room but with the right lens, you can be up close and personal and nobody would know the difference...

A photography social would be great when things open up.

A few experienced 'togs

A few people that want to learn the basics and a few that just want some decent pics to put on their profile.

It could be a lot of fun

I’d be up for that... would love to help people get the pics they want and share tips... it’s so much easier to understand when someone shows you opposed to reading a book or website...

Can do so much without spending hours and hours learning...

I'm guessing the challenge would be finding enough people in one area to make it worthwhile.

Poor mini teapot is much abused, and is always behind the phone anyway

Is it a phone or proper camera?

You need a tripod may be?

Plenty of light. Ideally a flash with a shoot through umbrella and bounce the light of a white wall.

Tripods are the way to go. They don't have to be huge floor standing things, plenty of options for table based ones or gorilla pods that can wrap around door handles or hooks etc to get a decent grip. You can get phone adapters to mount your phone onto a standard tripod thread as well.

Other than that the only 2 pieces of advice I can offer is take the highest resolution pictures you can, and if you have one use a time lapse feature. This way you can have a slightly wider view when you take the shot and crop down afterwards to make the image look better, and the time lapse will just fire off photos continuously with a set delay time between them meaning you can forget about the camera if you want to and just enjoy yourselves, or pose if you want but you don't need to be holding a remote or saying "shoot" or whatever.

Be prepared to bin loads but the ones worth keeping will be awesome!

OR - get someone in to take the photos for you. Could add to the horniness if you enjoy exhibitionism?

Lighting is definately key, the more light there is then the faster the shutter speed which means less camera shake if hand holding.

If using a phone, someone mentioned using voice command now rather than pressing a side button or pressing the on screen button. Also use the rear facing camera instead of the selfie camera as the rear camera is usually significantly better in lower light.

Tripods can help eliminate camera shake but can be awkward to move around and position, plus unless there is enough light you'll get motion blur if people don't hold still from slower shutter speed as the camera tries to get a good exposure.

Many newer cameras also allow for remote shutter release cables, some have wireless solutions and even wifi to phone live shooting and shutter button.

If it's a DSLR or mirrorless camera with interchangable lenses then most manufacturers have fairly inexpensive prime lenses (Nikon 35 f1.8, Canon nifty fifty 50mm 1.8, etc) but also don't discount third party compatible lenses like Signa, Tamron and Tokina.

MPB Photographic is a great site for getting second hand cameras, lenses and other things like speedlights in good condition and i think all used kit is covered by their own 6 month warranty

Amazon and ebay are also pretty good for LED light panels like Yongnuo and Neewer as well as light stands

Hope this helps, happy to lend further advice

It would, although some would be willing to travel if it was a good event I'm sure. I'd be happy to and probably combine it with doing other things in the area.

Would definitely be up for that , have some kit and do street photography on Insta but portrait, glamour and indoor action is a different challenge. Been trying to light up a subject with nice black background , the proper way not iPhone portrait mode.

Personally I don’t like tripod photography for portrait, glamour, porn, prefer to just plan good lighting , take lots of photos experiment and have fun

Tripod is good. A photographer is better.

DSLR with a good choice of lenses and preferably someone who knows how use it/them.

And light. Lots of light.

Definitely a tripod, but don't worry about getting pro photographer pics, have fun and use your imagination and some prop, especially if you can find some outside adds a bit of interest to the images.

If using a phone on a tripod use an intervalometer type app like "Open Camera" you can set the phone to take as a photo every 5 seconds for say 20 minutes (adjust according to stamina or energy )

Then keep the best 15/20 shots.

For better lighting ther are budget LED floodlights on eBay or the work lights from Screwfix/Toolstation(though if using work lights put them on a shelf or table to light from above, lighting from a low level is not particularly flattering ( it's commonly known as "horror lighting" )

There is a few people on fab who are photographers. This is the best option because you can enjoy sex without thinking about taking photos.

But you need to be careful. Make sure that you will get all photos and from that person laptop/memory card/cloud etc, all photos will be deleted later.

Also when choosing someone ask for a portfolio.

It's very difficult to take pics of people having sex . Tripod won't give you precise images . You need a third person ,may be hubby to angle the shots perfectly .

It's all about sufficient lighting and the angles .

I use a Nikon and have an IR remote shutter but also an app that can operate the camera remotely. Tripods a must as everybody else has said, i love a 35mm 1.8 or a 50mm 1.8, both cheap lenses. Lower the Fstop to really blur out the background or even just body parts you dont want in focus. Dont be afraid to play around with post production even if its just using the boggo processing you get in Windows or iOS

Just to mention - before the pandemic, The Townhouse club on The Wirral had a photography event a few times a year.

Could be an opportunity for some people to meet up. I don’t think you could include a “formal” social in that event, necessarily, as they’d probably want to keep it open to everyone interested. I’m sure they, and other clubs, might let a social take place on the premises outside of that, though.

I should add - I have no connection to the place, I just went to the event and had a nice day. Very friendly place .

Burst shots are great or stills from videos. Pick a flattering angle, lighting is good but can be brightened after if needs be, so can framing. Doesn't take a lot to get a good pic if the subject is interesting enough

People will forgive quality if it's hot and horny...some of the pics we fab have suffered quite a bit of shake and are often hotter than posed pics!

Plea to avoid altering too much with filters...we'd love Fab to not become InstaFab!

Tabitha xx
