I wouldn't say so. The original essence of swinging was couples swapping partners, and couples are still the core of the scene in my opinion. Its just now swinging has expanded its reach to group sex, gangbangs, dogging, fetish, kink, casual sex, etc. Xx

Every person and couple are different so there'll be all sorts of different situations. Some women probably do it because their partner enjoys it, and others actively encourage their partner to go on the journey with them.

I've no doubt that a lot of men fantasise about it - perhaps more so than women - but a lot more women come to love it than guys, simply because the expectation doesn't usually match the reality for them.

It was a joint decision for us to start doing this but it is me (fem) who is more active on here. I do all the messaging and start the chats with people. I decide who we meet when it comes to men.

I don't find it empowering. I make my own decisions just like in every other aspect of my life. It has boosted my confidence though.

This is Bunny (M). We had both experienced swinging before we met. And both enjoyed it. As our own sex life got better we both talked about adding extras. Basically because there were things we wanted to experience that were next to impossible without extras. Toys can only work so well.

So for us a joint decision where there are many benefits.

It has given Di more confidence and she loves that our sex life has become so much better than the sum of 2 parts. Xx

No. I think that if one of the couple is the driving force behind swinging, then it’s never going to work.

It needs to be a joint situation and both partners (notice; partners, because that’s what it is) have to be united, want the same thing and be on the same page.

If one partner is pushing the other to engage or to meet, then that’s selfish and manipulative.

I think that women are treated differently from guys in swinging but not unequally.

Personally I hate it when the female partner is the one used to garner interest and when all the pictures are of her
