How many couples and singles have admitted to being bi on today's census? It may be difficult for some as all the family are involved.

"How many couples and singles have admitted to being bi on today's census? It may be difficult for some as all the family are involved."

We have. It’s all anonymous, we’re the adults in the house and frankly no harm in it.

For some where other family members are filling it on behalf I can appreciate the challenge.

I was wondering about this too. I had no problem putting bi on mine. There will still be a lot of "straight" guys out there though.

Although wouldn’t it have been funny if there was no COVID and someone was having a swinging party, that could have made for a long and complicated census ??

Yeah I (Mr) feel this. I’m not straight but wouldn’t go as far as bi (yet) either.

That said there’s only so many options you can put on something like this I guess.

"To be honest I didn’t see what my sexually had to do with what Sainsbury’s are going to stock in the next 10 years..... "

But I'm sure Sainsbury's would like to know if their staff represents the community they serve.

So if they have optional staff survey (the sexuality of say their Brighton branches) they could look at the Census and see if they are hitting a target. This could help them design their services and serve LGBTQI+ customers better.

Pointless labelling , what you feel like doing on Sunday you might not want to do a week on Tuesday !

Get away from the labels and stereotypes and just be what you want , when you want.

If you want people to stop making it up then stop asking them pointless questions

Put down bi. And on the above post on labels, while in the grand scheme of things labels don't mean much they do matter to people and they do offer insights as to the different needs of different groups of people. So it is important and with sticking to labels especially if it matters to the individual

You should be contacted by the compliance team at some point to get it completed. Refusal is a criminal offence which carries a fine plus additional court costs. Its really not worth it.

I didn't think people were generally fined, thought it was something to do with this guy called Adolf who did something a bit naughty with all that information once upon a time.

"Hitler notably used the European Census in his conquests across Europe."

https://epic.org/privacy/census/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_and_the_Holocaust

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/how_many_individuals_have_been_p

It seems a few are and I'm not sure on what basis the CPS would decide to prosecute. Probably more to do with deliberately giving false information for financial gain or something.

Of course you would be breaking the law and *could* be fined, as all the news headlines seem to be saying; but they do like to drum up sales by making everyone scared.

Do your own research, get legal advice, blah blah blah

I suppose if your so scared to fill in the census you have got rid of your mobile phone which nows where you are have been and done, and your laptop which knows everything as well. Plus you don't want to exist so don't need hospitals, doctors, schools, dustman, dentists etc
