I suspect she means someone who is as equally interested in the male of a couple as the female, rather than someone who comes across straight until they think they might have more luck promising some guy-guy action. You can make the same accusation against women who identify as bi but really have a strong preference for very specific sexual needs.

Note that this is different from people who just don't happen to fancy one person in a couple, or who are uncomfortable with certain sex acts or sit closer to straight or gay than they do to the middle ground of both.

I suppose it's more about intent or perhaps deliberately misrepresenting sexuality in the hope of gaining preferential treatment... Basically being fake verses genuine.
