Why would you not use and condom with a stranger you met on the internet? Saying that, even a stranger you met down the pub or club (when we’re allowed too again).

surely you covered peoples logic to not using protection for kissing in your own post / it is considered to be low risk

people are not wearing condoms to remove 100% of risk because they are not 100% effective - they wear them to lower risk to an acceptable level for them... for most , the risk with kissing is already sufficiently low

really you could just take my last response and swap out the word oral for kissing

but for the avoidance of doubt

protection is not a black and white issue where if you deem it appropriate in one scenario you must use it in all

people will risk assess the situation and decide what is an acceptable level of risk for themselves - that could mean protection with one person but not another or it could mean protection for one sexual act but not another

for most that means they reserve bareback for their long term partner but are more lenient when it comes to oral - if that doesn’t match up with your requirements just find someone that does rather than challenging peoples own assessment of what they are comfortable with

For couples, if you're (hopefully) being honest with each other, then whatever risks you take, you take together. If one of you catches something, there's a good chance the other gets it.

As a single guy, I feel like getting a std, if it's something incurable, then I'm still looking for a relationship but now with the added difficulty of having to explain I have an std - so that's definitely not worth the risk.

If I was in a relationship, and we decided to exclusively bareback with another couple, that would be fine.

in the tinder community i would say 80/20 judging by how many guys don’t seem to be pro active or even come prepared with protection, more often than not it will be me reaching into the drawer which tells me they would have chanced bareback if i hadn’t steered it another way
