Same here. I'd rather have something edible or living. Not just cosmetic and dead within a week.

Course they are... they’ve been removed from the root. A chicken with its head cut off can still run around, it doesn’t make it any less dead...

Nope they can live for like 2 weeks. They carry on respiring, growing and can still reproduce. Some can even grow new roots
