They mostly get in the way. Other restraints are much more successful.

Ours has heavy leather fixed cuffs and a very wide bar, making it easy to pick up and manoeuvre, and still held/supported fast. It's a hit for us.

Had this planned before lockdown with one of her regulars. He said best if she lays on her back on the edge of the bed so he can lift the bar to gain access. I did wonder what other positions would work though

Depends if you’re just using it for sex or teasing and/or using wrist restraints to attach to it too...

Her standing up against a wall, arms above her head

Her standing up but bent over...table, bed, anything!

Her in doggie position on floor/bed or shoulders on floor/bed bum up

Her on her back legs up in air, edge of bed, table...or just in the middle of bed

Her on her side

Her on top

Most normal positions work with a spreader bar but depending on what play you are having, some positions work much better...
