My favourites were the ‘quality’ Paul Raymond ones Mayfair and Men Only I think were my top choice.

As an aside when I was working on designing new shops for a major retailer, there was always a stir and a lot of hands ready to help off load the shelving system that came from a Dutch supplier, the lads in the factory always distributed a fair amount of continental hard core in the packs of shelves, the lads putting it up never had to worry about getting it all off the lorry as there were more than enough willing hands to help!

JAGUAR from USA was good. Not widely stocked. Enjoyed the Readers Wifes sections in UK softcore mags. Razzle and Fiesta, especially reader's wives. I do like a nice exposed arse shot, and they were always airbrushed out in those mags.

When I found a shop selling Derriere then I was sorted. The pics of Lorraine Ansell in that mag were so horny.

As a teenage schoolboy in the mid-70's, Fiesta was my 'go-to' wank mag - I shot many a load over 'Reader's Wives'...

....I never dared keep any at home, so my 'stash' was tucked away in a roofless derelict cottage which was on my way home - I'd stop off there most afternoons when it wasn't raining, retrieve the mags from under a couple of corrugated metal sheets, and sit and have a play...

....or two or three on Mondays, after having had to abstain for the weekend! I always secretly hoped to get caught by one of the women who sometimes walked past only yards away, and be given a real 'education' - but it never happened...

....what did happen one day, was that somebody discovered and removed my stash - whether I'd been seen going in and out and someone had investigated why, I never knew, but one afternoon I lifted the sheets to find my mags gone...

The 'hard-core' ones of the late 70's and early 80's never appealed to my taste; as I recall, titles like Lovebirds and Whitehouse introduced explicit images of women holding their pussies wide open for 'inspection' - Hustler was of similar style, I think... ....along with Fiesta, I liked Escort, Knave and Razzle, with their pages featuring 'real' women - I always enjoyed looking at pictures of ladies in lingerie, stockings and heels far more than viewing gynaecological imagery...

In the late 70s, my fave mags were Whitehouse, National News and Lovebirds. Legally, they were the closest thing you could get to hardcore sex - there were pics of women holding erect penises, vagina held wide open, and sometimes fingers or objects inside (vibrator, cucumber etc), but no genital penetration.
