We've all seen the posts (both in forums and profiles) about how crap some opening messages are, especially from single men.

So let's celebrate the good ones for a change:

What have been your faves?

There is no such thing as a great opening message.

No matter who good the message is some women and couples will think either

A) Your message is shit

B) Your message is average.

C) Your message is great.

Also, most people will look at your profile first. If your profile is crap your messqage is not getting openened.

I agree, it is a pretty 1 dimensional site but there are some who go for something that stands out rather than well taken pics or dick size.

Sometimes you get a feel in the first msg that they'll be a bit of craic and that makes me reply. Hard to pin point exact words. Mrs x

Central

It's the whole package that is the gestalt.

Your first message says hello and introduces you to me - I'll find something about you between the lines too. But your profile will have nudged me to read your message, as I always view them before reading the message.

Capturing a lot of you and a little of me in your first message, will sustain me
