Too near & too far to meet up

Do you you automatically block people because they are too close to your location?

And going the other way, how many miles is too far away for you for a regular (pre/post covid) meet up?

Is there an optimal distance that works for you?

In usual times we like to do a lot of Uk city visits so we are trying to get some chat going with people from most Uk cities with aim to meet and play when in area x

Im happy to travel and have done as well, 350mile round trip for a weekend meet was fine.

For something more regular though it would have to be a lot closer so say an hours drive or less.

I would prefer to travel for an hour or so than meet someone local. I can’t face the thought of bumping into indiscreet people when I’m out with my kids or work colleagues.

I tend not to block anyone that close to me tbh unless i know who they are. I have a met a couple of people pretty close to me in the next village over as they where new to the area and wouldn't know who i was. But tbh if they recognise me its probably to late anyway and the cats out of the bag so to speak lol

Furthest i have met was probably around 30ish miles away as i only rode a motorbike so did not like going to far from home (plus possibly turning up drenched isnt really a good look tbh)

I have no transport atm so severely limits who i could meet anyway. Would possibly use a coach or something like that to meet somone further away but would have to be like a weekend thing or something like that

We chat to people from all over the UK and have previously chatted with people from the States.

We'll only meet people from up to about 30 to 60 mins away and fairly local doesn't worry us.
