It's strange, because a hidden profile doesn't show on searches.

I suspect they have seen you in the forum, clicked your name to go to your profile and send said wink.

We've had that in the past and it did confuse us as in, why do that

A friend of ours though, keeps her profile hidden unless she's actively on the site

and then goes incognito again afterwards, says it cuts down on the number of unwanted messages.

So that is one possible explanation, you just got it too late to respond before they went back into ninja mode lol
