The point I was making is that the 'responsibility' rests with both parties - not just on the part of the man. The key to a healthy sex life, in my opinion, and encounters that both parties enjoy, is communication. We're not mind readers and everybody is different.

If a female (or male for that matter) chooses not to communicate to their partner what gets them off, or that the partner is not getting them off, or even fakes getting off, then it feels like that party is at least partly to blame for their inability to get off. In other words, there is a good level of responsibility that rest at her/his door - particularly after 4.5 years of rubbish sex.
