Some people like to be private. What goes on in the bedroom stays in the bedroom.

Some use it because they are fake, others don't want their image to be on a fake profile later

If people really don't want to show a photo i'd meet for a quick social only to see if there's an attraction but only if it's local won't travel for that arrangement

Very few reasons for not having a face pic available though. Yes I get not showing it in public pics, or even in private if you don't want. But if you're willing to share your face with them it should be reciprocated, even if just in an email that can be removed after if you really want to.

My take on it is they're playing away and don't want any evidence of being on the site....

We used to show face pictures and then one day I logs on to social media to find lots of messages telling me how my naughty pictures ( including face in these pictures) had been posted all over a buy and sell site by a angry local man who had been rejected. Safe to say that we now only send them to verified people who we're interested in and who will send us one too

I've had my entire profile bio copied and pasted by 3 other men in the last couple of months and just last week one of them attached some of my pics to messages he was sending to women and became really abusive when the women recognised them as mine.

Therefore I will never share a face pic again on the site for this very reason.

I used to have one in my private pics but I've removed that.

We wouldn't because we're retired but if we were recognised when we were working it could have made our working lives very difficult possibly untenable.

I think everyone should respect people's desire for privacy at whatever level and not question it

Hardly any jobs would find somebody's sex life legitimate grounds for sacking somebody. If it went to a tribunal for wrongful dismissal it is likely to cost the company heavily.

Privacy has more to do than losing your job. Some people just don't want to go public with details of their sex life. It can lead to comments, jokes, piss-taking, come-ons, judgement, and various other things.

I don't know why so many people describe themselves as professionals on here anyway. It just means they are in employment like most people. Big deal.

Some use the professional word freely,so as not to show a face pic. Some individuals are professionals and could have repercussions if recognised within their job role.

Yes, there are some organisations that would consider this to reflect badly on their public image. In some cases it's because the work they do that requires public trust and high standards.

I think some people think 'professional' is shorthand for 'educated', 'sophisticated' or other characteristic that puts them above the majority of others.

Others could read 'professional' to mean 'snobbish', 'arrogant' and 'up their own arse'.

You choose!

I dont consider myself snobbish arrogant or up my own arse. Neither do i think I'm above anyone else, but I am classed as a professional and could recieve repercussions within my chosen career if recognised on here. I do have face pics in my friends photos. I Also reciprocate if I am sent one.

I'm grammar school educated and been in management most of my working life but have always believed anyone calling themselves a professional as definitely being up their own arse.

Somewhere in Co. Down

Plenty of people don't have pics up and especially face pics and that is their prerogative. Whatever they write in their profile is also up to them. Doesn't bother me. If their profile doesn't interest me I don't interact with them.

The whole professional thing I find strange to say on here. As for not having face pics up no one should have to I don't and won't ever have a face pic public. Mainly because I don't want to I like keeping my private life private and too many on here like to stir shite as well if they can.

I'm sure that you're a great person. I was pointing out the pitfalls of using the term 'professional' in a profile. It can mean anything.

Many people prefer not to show a face picture in public because of their job, not just because they hold professional qualifications. Might just be better for someone to say that they're happy to share a face pic once they've built up a bit of trust and rapport? Prefessionalism doesn't come into it.

No it's when they use it as their USP.

There are lots of different and mostly worthy professions but they have no bearing whatsoever on fab.

If you can only describe yourself as a professional then yes it applies then.

I won't show my face to just anyone. I have my own business. I've got loads of clients. I'm in competition with similar businesses. So i am not doing anything to jeopardise that. Also i have children in secondary school. I can't imagine the bullying they could get if anyone found me out. Then on a basic level, there is the fact that i don't want my neighbours seeing my tits lol.

I think there's lots of reasons people don't want their faces public. Yes I'd probably lose my job.

But also I wouldn't want my family seeing pictures of me having sex and naked etc... with no public face pics they'd not know.

We have face pics on friends pics or will send them after we've seen the other person/people.

I lost my job for being on a similar site to this..

1 worker found me and showed managing staff. They took copies of everything they were sent and was tokd that beacuse my uniform could be seen in background of 1. And a harmless toilet selfie was take on premesis. It was miss use of the companys image and there was acctually a small random bit in contract about bringing disreputable image to the place.

Id written a lot of fantasy erotica and they were concerned that it wasnt simple fantasy. As i couldnt prove it hadnt happend they took it as true.

After 2 months waiting and it going higher and higher in the company. It was hard to get anything and chances of advancement were taken away.

Im now in a new job a few months on. And can finally start to relax again.

Only today have we posted first face pix to profile.

Why are people so offended by professionals? I’m guessing it’s mainly the people who aren’t professionals and feel a little bit insecure?

We'll never display our face pics in public again after we were approached on a night out with friends by a guy that insisted he recognised us then promptly pulled up our profile to show to our friends and prove his point!

We show faces on cam in the chatroom and have pics in private should we wish to send them.

Exactly this. I would never be able to work again in my chosen profession if I was found to be on here. Also, when I was on as a single woman I never sent face pics for the same reason but still had plenty of meets. It is up to the person if they have or send face pics when asked, no offence should be taken by this.

Face pics are such a huge part of talking though which is why I just have one private pic up so I can send one to people I know don't know me

My company has revised it's code of conduct which includes social media, forum use and it would be uncomfortable to say the least as gossiping is rife. The women like to talk but the blokes are vile, they live on harassing colleagues.

Their defence, it is workplace banter.

I have face pics, not meeting at the moment so no need to have a mug shot.
