It escapes me how alot of folk on here make very little effort in their profile! Surely if they want a meet they would make themselves look desirable?...and by this I mean, a couple of friends pics, a silhouetted profile pic, and very little text about who they are etc..and when these people msg, they get shitty cause you ignore it or delete it!!

You've just reminded me of a night out in Napoleons bar in the Manchester Village. I was at the very crowded bar and a man and wife recognised me from here. It's not only guys though. Lots of women have blank profiles and little or no pics or text.

Some of them just say, " Been here before and know the score".

It must work for them as they have lots of veris but I'm guessing they have been verified by those they met on previous profiles.

A profile is supposed to be your shop window so if your window display is crap then nobody's going into your shop.

Cant tar everyone with the same brush. Over the years ive met a few "blank profile" or what you describe as no effort and the lady or couple i have met have been amazing.

So not allwayd the case, i would agree there is a trend though

That may be the case for some people, but we tend to try and answer everyone, weather its a no thanku...doesn't hurt t be friendly but if the message says "hi" or just "how you doing" then yes it will be ignored or just deleted.

In our 20 years experience it tends to be the ones who make the least effort in terms of profiles, pictures and messages who whine the loudest about not getting any response, people being 'up their own arses' etc. It's almost as if they feel they're entitled to the attention they crave...

I've found that many single females and a few couples are the worst for 'will fill in later' profiles. Although to be fair I don't look at single male profiles.

It is a balancing act though, I've seen many female/couples on their profile and sometimes on the forums state they don't want to read war and peace, when it comes to a profile and yet they don't want a single line either. Mine might be closer to war and peace, probably people never read to the end.

We’ve had messages from one such profile today, no photos, no info but they’re happy to send us photos via WhatsApp... god may love a trier but we don’t.

On the flip side though, we probably share too much as we have lots of pictures and a lengthy profile. Not that many people read it before messaging, so maybe we’d do just as well by ‘filling in later’!

A crafted and polite message quoting various subjects in someone's profile, along with your own profile giving enough information to make you seem interesting and appealing. Still gets met with read, delete and no reply.

And sometimes just a witty one liner can spark an interest or reply.

There is no known absolute formula for success but lack of effort is just asking for failure.

Fail to prepare then prepare to fail!

About a year ago I got a message from two guys, each had photos one guy more attractive than the other. However the ‘other’ had a profile that was filled with information about what he was looking for and actively interested in Tgirls or Femboys.

The attractive guy just had ‘fill in later’ so I ignored him for the other and we met up in a club ( on his profile that he prefer to meet in public ).

It’s got so bad I’ve actually added it to my profile now, as it’s really disappointing to think, you look nice and you get no hints about the person from their profile.

Personally I prefer a long winded profile (yes I can read!) to a very short, no effort made one. At least it gives you something to talk about, plus it gives a sense of their intelligence.

That said, I have met some great people with very sparse profiles. I have suggested to them that they should make a tad more effort to show their personality though.

I have also met some boring people with long winded profiles. A lot depends on the actual content of said profile. I have got better at determining which people I will probably enjoy having fun with. Practice makes perfect
