Don’t think it’s ever going to be truly over.

Dogging has been declining for a good while now and the reasons are many which I won’t list here.

Perhaps it will make a strong comeback based on social distancing because that’s how dogging started initially.

This. I really love watching a couple putting on a good show, but sadly most dogging spots are now public knowledge so hard to find the real people most spots are full of men or boy racers.

Same with couples, old young and everyone in between.

This I remember the old times a flash of some light and be invited over to watch etc, most guys these days as you say think if your putting on a show then there luck is in and they get to play them self's etc ruined it for a lot of the genuine watchers.

However we would really like to be caught and watched,but would hate to offend, and also don’t like the idea of some crazy trying to get involved or anything like that.

Maybe it’s one best left in the fantasy section for us

This has never been my experience. I'm not sure if it's down to locations , but all I've ever experienced is respectful men, stepping back from the car if asked, and never touching without asking.

If a site becomes too well known then you do get people turning up 'just for a laugh' though.

Several years ago there was a very active dogging spot just outside of Chester. It was almost like a community. Lots of regulars, great conversation, many laughs. Often we had BBQs and bring food and drink to share, plus lots to see.

The place was closed down unfortunately.

I now live around 8 miles from another active site, and this is the first year I've not noticed the amount of activity decrease due to the season.

Before anyone jumps on me for being irresponsible, can I just say that I take my dogs there very early in the morning, 3 or 4 times a week, and that is how I know. I'm a voyeur, that's all.

I 1st went dogging in the late 80's, it was word of mouth, very polite, rules were obeyed and there were very few dickheads - no boy racers at that time. It was very much who you knew, and it was about being social as well.

Dogging is great fun some nights you can sit there for hours nothing. the next night you could get 2-3 couples maybe more that's the fun of it ..but what I don't get is couples who advertise they are going dogging and looking for couples only knowing full well that all dogging places are frequently male populated I don't get it
