People can call themselves whatever they want. Most are attracted to a good personality, good chat and an element of common ground anyway so the labels of fat, thin, curvy etc aren't required

Surely this will depend on the height of the person although the word fat is never good to use.

I'm a size 12-14, but deffo curvy! Tiny waist, big boobs and big bum.

I prefer curvy to being called fat, I own my curves and have learned to love them, and I haven't had any complaints yet

Own it ladies, we've got this. Its all about confidence and dressing to our bodies, no matter if you are a size 6 to 36. We are all beautiful in our own unique ways, and perfect the way we are

Think you may also need to clarify of meaning of Fit as f**k, Are you taking as in Gym or exercise fit or as it what some would say totally sexy and shagable.

Some see that as confusing as the Curvy question.

I'd say curvy is a shape, fat more describes a size? I might use curvy to describe myself, but certainly not in isolation - wouldn't want people to be under any illusions about my size!

Advantage is I'm also harder to throw in the back of a van.

Some wear there weight better than others, and confidence is a big boost with this, but really what does it matter?

Everyone has there own tastes and preferences, and often actual dress size makes little difference to if a woman gets a double take or not.

Is it a case of 'politeness / respect' as well?

--

"Love your photos, they really show off your gorgeous curves"

Or

"Love your photos, they really show off how gorgeously fat you are"

--

Even if a person's profile mentions they describe themselves as fat, I personally wouldn't call that out as it feels such a negative description towards someone.

It's a funny one, as it's very subjective and as much as we shouldn't be driven or influenced by 'labels' to an extent we are as it's part of the choices we choose when creating our profiles.

I'm curvy when someone likes me and fat when they don't. Same goes for my own view of it I suppose, some days I'm highlighting every curve and others I'm practically wearing a tent to hide any lump and bump. So, basically, perception is the difference.

Surely the point is one can be curvy, curvy and fat, curvy and slim, curvy and any other body type if there are well.... "curves"....

As for the little belly of which you speak ? I've inspected your pictures very closely, (you may not have felt it.. I was very gentle)... If only my belly were as little as yours!

Same here. I describe myself as "ample" on here, as I no longer have a tiny waist. Because of that I say I'm FAT, rather than CURVY.

Lovely people on here call me curvy - which is rather good to hear.

Curvy or fat?

I have curves (most people do as humans were not designed using a ruler and with straight lines in mind) but I am also fat, very fat, obese would be the medical term.

I used to be very curvy with big natural breasts, small waist and nice biggish bum. Pregnancy, breastfeeding for 2 1/2 years and not going out much due to family issues “helped” the extra fat and my tummy stay. Depression just made things worse.

I get called curvy, BBW, etc. all the time but I always mention being fat as I do not want to mislead anyone.

What anyone else calls themselves is their prerogative. I call myself MySweetLady

I’m curvy and fat. It’s perfectly possible to be both. And I’ve been told on here I’m one or the other more times than I can count. I selected curvy as my body type because I am, but I also describe myself in more detail in the text, and don’t hide anything in my photos so people can form their own opinion.

Equally though, what does “athletic” mean? A professional prop forward or a shot putter are athletic because they are athletes, but they are often also fat.

Definitely overweight and need to be fitter/healthier (work in progress), but luckily I’m taller than average which helps.

I think ‘curves’ refers to proportions really. I have a huge bum, big boobs, tiny waist, and small shoulders, which I think are curvy.

Sadly though, my tummy is not in proportion, and unsupported my boobs are seriously heavy and go a lot further south than they used to lol.

Thankfully its a small number of mean spirited men. Most are great.

As for the size thing I classify myself as curvy but truthfully I'm also fat. Doesn't stop me having fun

I'm a size 18/20 I'm fat.... But my body shape is curvy in the sense that I have an hourglass figure, boobs, nipped in waist and hips and bum.

It's all personal perception really

I’ve been told for years since I was 15 after an operation that I’m fat as I ballooned

And I am fat few years ago I was at my biggest n worked really hard to loose 8 stone and get down to 14 stone!

Only to be told by a group of women on my celebratory New Year’s Eve night out that I was a fat C#@t and they didn’t want me talking to their friend who I was getting on well with

Even when I loose weight I’m still a 49 1/2 inch chest just for a sort of gauge

"So what's everyone think is the difference ?

Not calling ANYBODY here, my wife is size 26 and fit as fuck

But at what point would you say no that's not curvy it's fat ? "

It's a pointless distinction.

People are so often keen to put others into categories, and sometimes that can be helpful, but it really isn't in this case.

You're either going to be attracted to someone or not. Whether they can be defined as curvy or fat shouldn't be the point at all.

I liked the word curvy, and I think it was used to not cause offense when describing us bigger girls. However, I think the word has been hijacked by the slimmer girls, who yes, obviously have curves, everyone does. Now, I like 'voluptuous' or 'rubenesque'. Each to there own. Dont really care what you call me just don't call me late for dinner.

Despite popular belief, curvy does NOT mean fat. Curvy is an hour-glass figure; large breasts, hips, and butt with a comparatively small waist.

Thin women CAN be curvy, and fat women CAN be curveLESS. It is a body SHAPE, not a body SIZE.

Luckily we can all be whatever we want to be ..

I’ve just dieted and lost 3 stone..

First time I’ve ever needed to..

But clothes didn’t fit right , I didn’t like myself.

So I changed it ..

Anyone can with the right state of mind ..

Unfortunately being overweight is a mental state and because we’re unhappy we eat more ..

A vicious circle..

And we make up excuses why we are overweight..

But anyone can change it if they want..

Just be happy..

Curvy is a polite description of body shape that could be incredibly healthy, or reflective of some surplus weight. Calling someone fat is not necessary, as it's likely to hurt many people and doesn't help - including calling ourselves fat.

If we're being pedantic - fat is a shape if you're describing us as such. . . more simply a shape can be defined as the form of an object or person. So yes fat is a shape

If you don't like fat, curvy, voluptuous or any other larger descriptions of a lady or even like a larger lady in real life that's fine but you do sound rather disrespectful

Really this shouldn't be an issue unless the size is unpractical for sex. There's so much more to someone than figure. If said curvy/fat (whatever term you like to use. I prefer curvy) is confident, uninhibited, chilled and well into the sexual experience. What's size got to do with it?

I think curvy is most definitely a shape and can vary to person to person. Regardless of their weight or dress size.

I'm not a fan of referring to people as fat. I was called "fat" by kids at school when I was growing up. Then also "skinny" in later years. There are far more flattering words to use to describe someone.

However, when I think "fat", I think overweight or obese.

I've got friends my age who are healthy weights/bmi and refer to themselves as fat because they carry weight on their belly or bum.

On the other hand, I've got a friend who's a size 24, who refers to herself as "fat and proud".

It's all subjective

I think being called fat is derogatory. It's a harsh word to hurt someone's feelings. Curvy could cover a multitude of different body times right through mesomorphic to endomorphic

The categories on here are useless....slim and curvy are body shapes. Fat is more about body composition, athletic is probably as well. Fat is not even a category on here anyway. Large and normal compared to what....what even is normal, and is everything else abnormal?!! Ultimately the terms like fat and curvy are all subjective and essentially meaningless....you like the look of someone’s body or you don’t.

East of Eden, West of Hell

I think it depends how it's being said. Fat is often used as a derogatory term to imply that a person is overweight. I was called fat when I was a teenager. How I wish I was that weight now.

I tend to refer to myself as fat, because that's how I see myself. As others have said, on here, I've been referred to a beautiful. (I still don't see that one myself)

It depends how far is being used. If it's said to illicit a negative response, then don't use it. If you're simply stating a fact, well, things are what they are. Whatever you call someone who has a poor self image they could take it the wrong way.

I'm curvy, it's just my curves are nearer to the full 360 degrees than others...

As others have said - beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it wouldn't do for everyone to like the same thing.

Curvy...every single person has curves. Both men and women! We have bums, we have waists and legs and boobs!

Fat....is something you have, whether you have more than some or less than some. Fat should not be used as a descriptive word as it is wrong. Voluptuous is a nice way of wording it, I personally prefer that than BBW. Everyone is different in sizes.

We could turn the tables and say...Cock size...what is Small and what is big? To some people 4 inches is small, to some it’s big cause of past experiences. Where as to others 7 may be small.

Well in fairness cock size is one of the more straight forward criteria.. Question... "how bigs your cock?" answer... Slightly smaller than A lynx deoderant can... Or 6 inches...

As many have already said you don’t need to be fat to be curvy, it’s about the proportions of the curves relative to the test of your body...

But I’m more interested in those who are fat women or some would call themselves obese. For all of you, being curvy or fat is on the mindset. Accepting them, feeling comfortable with them and realising many of of us love your curves would make you feel curvy and sexy.
