But it seems these storys are rare and I'm yet to read one that actually got violent.

This - it’s what I’ve understood to be the role. Understanding what the couple really want to experience is important.

It’s not surprising to find out that they haven’t really talked it fully through. So their desires become unfulfilled.

No. The definition of a cuckold is a man whos wife fucks other men typically without consent:
