A give away is only a give away if the person who is looking knows what it means.

I do wonder how many people have worn them without knowing how they are viewed upon within the swinging world and been approached

Me, personally, I would not approach someone wearing one and assume anything

Depends where, when and type worn. Coral shell type on the beach does not mean the same as a silver FMF, or ace of spades types, worn at a bar or a club.

Id love someone to spot Jessy's and even make a comment.

Never assume anything. How embarrising would it be for a guy approaching a lady in the street who was just wearing it as jewellery. Better not to approach and risk a slapping

I have worn them before and never knew what it represents until we joined here. I recently tried one on again and it felt different wearing it. If I was out with my family and I was approached for wearing it. It wouldn't be a good response put it that way. If I was out in the evening with D and I was approached because of it then who knows what might happen!

If you go to the supermarket with an anklet that says "Take me up the baking aisle" in big letters then you probably class that as a giveaway. The less obvious it is, the less of a giveaway it is. For some it doesn't mean anything anyway.

Seeing one in public would be such a rush. I think this is top of my list as a scenario to play out.

Don’t think i’ve ever seen a woman brave enough to wear one out and about.

Seems to take a very confident/risky woman/couple to do so

Most people just think it’s a piece of jewellery, nothing more.

If you go for the HW or any other kind of more obvious symbol it still probably won’t attract a wink and a smile from the more sensible swinging guys.

It’s more than likely going to attract the creepy ones that follow women around in the clubs

Regular people see it and think it's an anklet.

Swingers see it and think, I wonder if she's a swinger or just a regular person wearing an anklet.

I was sat outside the local bank waiting for my mother and noticed a gorgeous young lady standing in line, who I was looking at with lust when I noticed her last leg extended with an anklet on she she extended her leg after she noticed that I was looking shame I could not have a chat

Bollocks! If a woman wears a HW one out and gets noticed and spoken too, what's the problem?

It shows nothing of each others intentions, except displaying you might be available!

A woman wears a short skirt - she's asking for it. A low cut top -she's asking for it. D*unk at a party - she's asking for it. An anklet - she's asking for it. Come on guys, cut some slack and let women wear whatever or behave however they want without making wild assumptions about their sexual proclivities.

In this day and age I would say no. I used to wear wear them all the time on nights out, well before I knew the meaning of them...

I dont think they are common, but common enough that people could make unjust assumptions and end up a little red in the face

Digressing from the anklet but ever since we've become swingers when we see a sexy couple or couples who are touchy/feely in public we always say bet there swingers! just as a joke. Does anybody else think like this? What is a giveaway besides the anklet that people are into swinging?? We know about the black rings and pineapples.

Sat in a hospital waiting room a couple of years ago next to a lady with an ankle bracelet.

She noticed me looking and smiled and struck up a conversation in code as other people were listening.

We met for a coffee in the hospial cafe a bit later and we had a proper chat.

She said that she hardly ever got a reaction which disappointed her. We didnt meet up but it was nice to have a conversation about it.
