No, not the usual one about what comes out.

Is it something you have any control over? I mean, if you didn't want to, can you just not do it? Does it only happen when your lover does something specific, and if he/she doesn't then it doesn't happen?

The reason I ask is that both of us find it really unpleasant and don't understand why so many people are so into it. We pass on anybody who says she is a squirter. We even passed on a particularly gorgeous woman we both fancied physically, who said she was up for meetinguus, purely because she said she was a squirter.

Are we too judicious? Is there any way squirting is simply optional? Or is it inevitable if the sex is good?

I have however stopped someone from getting me to that point if it's not been appropriate for me to do it wherever I am.

For me, I squirt when I'm fingered in a particular position and it has to be pretty hard to then make me squirt. Only once have I squirted from having sex and again I think that was largely down to the position we were in.

For me, if the sex is even half way good I'm going to squirt. I have no real control over it. It's not for everyone that's why I prefer to choose partners who really got off on it. I put up with enough shaming about it when I was younger and there was less awareness around squirting.

I squirt and have no control over it. It can happen from sex, oral, or fingering and over and over again sometimes. I think it also depends on how turned on I am feeling as someone could do the same thing to me twice but I wouldn't neccersarily squirt both times. I’m a squirter but I don’t always squirt when it happens it’s uncontrollable but there are things that can be done to me that will ensure I will squirt. If your with someone who likes it they usually know how to me me do it. If I’m with someone who doesn’t like it I know how to avoid doing it. Hope that makes sense lol

To answer your question at the end there, we don't have any great love of body fluids. Squirting involves lots of body fluid coming out that we have no interest in. It looks to me like it would soak the bed. The quantity means it could soak into the mattress, and they are a bugger to clean and dry. It can also go on us, and by all accounts at least some of what comes out is urine (yes I know not all of it is) which I'm sure you can understand is not something we want. To us it just seems messy for no benefit.

It may look spectacular and it may feel good to the squirter, but we can only see downsides for us.

Please don't take this as a criticism of those that do it. We're just saying it's not for us. Those that do it and/or enjoy it then you go right ahead. We just prefer sex without squirting.

It sounds like not many women who have responded have any control over it, so we'll stick with our policy of ruling out squirters for us.

I tend to hold it back for consideration of the mess or with someone new, but there are certain depths and angles that I have no control , so if I want to avoid squirting I avoid them positions. it has to be done specifically for me to squirt, I don’t squirt of just vaginal sex more of a small hot gush.

I'm obviously not a squirter but have met lots of women who are.

The typical story I hear is that they didn't squirt in the beginning. Then, something happened that triggered it and ever since they have been able to squirt. Sometimes, the ability goes down again with age, probably hormonal as others have said.

Although I'm oversimplifying, the squirters I've met are usually of two types-

1. Women who squirt only in response to being stimulated a certain way. You probably wouldn't have an issue meeting them as to some extent they are in control and are not squirting large volumes.

2. Women who squirt copiously and regularly. I know some who squirt whether I'm playing with their clit, fingering their pussy, penetrating them vaginally or anally. Seems to make no difference what I do, the only sure thing is the sheets quickly getting soaked. Based on your preferences, you'd probably not enjoy meeting heavy squirters.

I feel exactly the same so I avoid squirters too. It's not worth the risk. Not fair for either me or them to feel uncomfortable.

I have no control over when I squirt or how much. My partner knows how to make it happen more often than not but even then it’s not really a given that I’ll squirt. If it’s not for you it’s not for you, don’t feel bad about having preferences
