Just had another abusive dickhead contact us using a cpls profile. The single guys always get abusive when you turn them down but posing asba cpl to contact other cpls is out of order. I know others get this crap also.

And is one of the core problems with this platform, whilst there is meant to be a verification process for new members, it is woeful and allows such abuses to keep happening.

I’m likely to get a forum ban for this, but the owners, admins and mods don’t actually care that much about how this platform is abused by some members.

From lying about being a couple when it is in fact a solo guy, or people trolling one another, or hollers and escorts, and in some cases reports of actual physical abuse, this site does not do enough to protect its member base.

The problem is, there isn’t really a good alternative, FL is actually quite complicated from a user experience and well, there’s dogging.co.Uk (also run by the Fab crowd I think), or Tinder et al.

I find that the number of fakers and abusers in this site has increased beyond belief in the last 6 years since I joined. A lot of the time this site is painful and you get no back up from the owners.

Own a social platform, be responsible for protecting your members. Look at Facebook, Twitter, etc, endless global arguments about how they protect their users, the same should apply here, the theme of the site should be irrelevant compared to the safety of members.

It was a good site when i was on here as a single female. My partner was on here also but we did not meet on here. We both have said this site is dying now compared to years ago. Was fun back then and met some lovely cpls and single guys to have fun with. Now it is just not the same. Jen

It’s hard to sift these people out but after a few messages the penny eventually drops. Guess one of the give away signs is not just the lack off female pics on their profile but the name saying would you meet just the male half off the couple.

We get this a lot, and also accused of it! People can be very aggressive when we tell them our dynamic. It's very frustrating as it ruins what could be a very good thing.

We don't understand why someone would pose as a couple as surely the point of fab is to meet up when we can, clearly someone would notice there's no partner at all.

Yes but he is still on here at the moment. He lives about six miles from us so could see we lived close and fancied his chances. Ended up him telling me i was past my sell by date because i turned him down.

People are just more abusive on here in general. And I’ve found it’s made me quite cutting with people who mess me about or get cocky with me. Which then leads to people accusing me of being fake or dishonest and they get nasty with me.

I’ve single men kick off because I’ve told them I’m not interested, I’ve had ‘couples’ explode at me because they live the other side of the country and even single females threaten me because they were way out of my age range. Think it’s just people are more on edge these days!

Admins have always been good for me. My only complaint is that profile reported for being abusive don’t get banned. They just get blocked, which doesn’t stop the profile from contacting someone else and doing the same again.

Had the same today, think the guy has stolen a young couples pics. We now will not accept friend requests or send pics to people who aren't verified after all its free and takes 2 mins to do. Its private so why not it unless you have something to hide, like being a fake

We get at least 2 couples contact us a week, who turn out to be other than advertised. Mostly the guy still using the photo verified couples profile, or the new favourite, 1 or 2 'daisy chain' verifications which end up linking a handful of profiles to each other. As soon as we ask for live verification, poof!

It's made coming on the site a chore, and not at all sexy as we now assume most people who message us are fakes, or hiding something. It's a real mood killer doing FABmin these days

Thats why we did the photo verification. Shows we are genuine. We had a lovely phone chat with a cpl who we had been conversing with for a while on here last night. They commented ot was nice to chat to a genuine cpl as they had the same fake cpls profiles contacting them so many times they had lost all hope on here.

Cannot name people or you will get banned by fab. He was telling me he like to fuck older women like me all night. Said i can get that with my partner. Also told him id burned out many a man who claimed that. Guess that part hurt his make ego and told me i was past my sell by date.

There are other sites much much worse than this where you get bombarded with messages from bots to keep you paying

It wasn’t a whine, it was an observation that the owners and admins of this website do little if nothing to actually deal with abuse between members.

And yes, dogging.co.uk does look shite, but that doesn’t stop it being based on the same platform as this and run by the same people.

The point I’m making is about respect and responsibility, to each other and for the owners of this site.

I’m not really sure what you’ve added to this debate if I’m honest. I suspect you’ll report me now for saying something that some, might take offence at.

Definitely the majority of messages we get, it’s a strange thing to do really, you’ve got to feel sorry for the “wife” (if there is one) as if some guy is posting pictures of her without her knowing so is a shitty kinda thing to do,

We tend to assume (cynically) that people aren’t what they say they are on social media. It is why we found Clubs so refreshing, it just avoided any issues! When we have met people in Clubs, sometimes we don’t click, whichis also fine

It’s easy to set up a new email address. They would be better to block the IP address from making another account if they have the ability to do that.

My Mrs has no interest on being on the forums, I find them fun and psycho/socially interesting.

So in the generalisation of the forum we are fake.

It’s getting worse... personally I think they should ask for your phone number as well as a photo to verify. Might not do much but it’d thin the masses a little... guess I’ve been lucky to spot them, 90% of the time they post statuses saying “only M available” so obviously I’ll just assume it’s a single dude trying to get his rocks off on a couples profile
