First Shag Always the Best?

When I lost my virginity (many distant years ago) I keep remembering it as the best, and always compare that first time with every shag I've had since.

I've had incredible nights with singles and couples over the years, but each time during sex my mind flashes back to that first time, and I have the annoying habit of comparing my current shag with the first one, and no matter how incredible the sex is, I keep convincing myself that the first one was the best.

The passage of time has either exaggerated my memory of that first night, or it was the best one. I think that is partly the reason why I went swinging. I'm always trying to experience the ultimate shag that was better than the very first, and for some reason I can't convince myself that it was better than the first.

I guess the first time for anything can't be repeated. The moment came and went and can't be replicated. Might be because I was deeply in love with the girl I was with back then, and I subconsciously can't allow myself to forget her each time I have sex with another woman, and so I end up convincing myself after every shag that it was fantastic, but not as good as the first. Anyone else can't forget the memory of losing their virginity and thinking of it during sex?

You must have got lucky as my first was shocking.

I had no idea what I was doing, it hurt, I bled then panicked for days thinking I was broken beyond repair.

Thank god I’m older, wiser and hopefully better these days.

I would not say anticlimatic but the foreplay is as good as the sex if done right.
