Has this happened to anyone else?

You get asked to meet, arrange a day and time. The day before they message with a good reason to cancel. All ok so far. But then on the day of your cancelled meet they post a looking for a meet on the meets section and on their profile they are advertising the fact they are looking for a meet!?

It's cool if they had changed their minds about us. But why not be honest and just tell us?

I had one do that and he hadn't even cancelled our meet!

I assumed he was no longer interested and told him to do one.

We had a worse one.

Guy we'd been talking to and getting close to arranged to meet us and then blocked us on the day of the meet with no explanation.

We viewed his profile as a guest and discovered he had a veri from another couple for the exact same day he was supposed to meet us.

Sure, maybe he considered them a better offer. But it would have been nice for him to be honest instead of the sneaky thing he did do.

when i see that i just think....get over yourself do you think your that special i'll be so heart broken you dont want to meet me you have to lie about it

Possably feeding of the fantasy with no intention of meeting, you get all sorts on here, I wouldn't take it personally, just think of it as their loss and move on, there are lots of genuine folks on here you just have to out the time wasters and fantisisers.

I was lucky to meet a real foxy lady at the beginning of the week so the wait to meet the right folks is well worth it.

Asking for a phone chat usually filters out most, then a social meet first gives a good idea if there is a spark and if it's worth perusing further.

But hey, that's just my opinion.

i have had that too

when i mailed him and asked why he was looking for a meet on the day we had arranged he replied..its swinging always keep your options open

Nice to know your a fall back plan eh

yeahh..recently my, wannameetme ppl have been leaving me hanging with maybemeetme's

If i get a meet, I stick to it.saves so much hassle.However some folks just like fishing around.Nice when they catch fuckall lol

Well said lol. We too have contacted several couples when looking to arrange a meet. But once a meet has been arranged we stick to it and let everyone we have spoken to know of our plans. Only fair that way xx

I arranged to meet a couple tonight, spent ages gettin ready making sure everything was perfect, spoke to the male on the phone, then he text me saying the female was now home and asked if I'd like to speak to her (I'd already exchanged messages with her) then I was just about to get in the car and got the 'oh we'll have to cancel, she's all of a sudden not well' I was like WTF?!! Very unimpressed with it after spending time gettin ready swapping pics speaking on the phone etc!

I think some people get off arranging meets they have no intention of keeping.

In five years I've never had a no show. Is it because I'm so hot? Probably

no, seriously, my meets are 100% my terms with 0% effort.

Always a social meet first during my lunch hour, meeting place outside Marks where I was going for a sandwich anyway, 400m from my desk, or 5.15 in the evening at the station. My train is at 5.30 should they not turn up I was heading home anyway.

When I arrange a play meet I'm usually working from home that day, took a flexi day to clean the grout, the gardens etc so should they not turn up my day has not been wasted.

Worked for me so far. Spoils the fun for those that get a kick wasting people's time if the person you're meeting won't be put out at all if you don't turn up!

Even that goes wrong at times, had a phone chat with a single guy who seemed lovely, he kept messsaging saying lovely to be in touch with someone genuine, day of meet he to had a meet today sign on his profile. Andy rang just to check our meet was still on and he said he was still at work and would be knackered, but if we fancied a quickie we could go round later. Needless to say we turned down his very kind offer and he ended up on our hotlist as a timewaster!!!!!

Best one was last week. We actually met a guy on Saturday who kept disappearing, when talking to friends he was actually messaging them by phone to arrange to meet them on the Sunday. We only found this out as he cancelled on them an hour before the meet and they told us his name. No wonder he couldn't rise to the occasion on the Saturday was to bloody busy thinking about his Sunday meet. Well he had a BOGOF as he had a double whammy and got blocked by both of us!!!

Had that too! Stood on a station platform in the snow, no response to texts and calls. That was when I first joined here though, and I've managed to spot the type most likely to stand me up these days.

I even had one woman direct me all the way to her door, then when i knocked, the person that answered said she didnt live there.....a good 20 mile or so travelling as well, judging by the person that opened the door..i had a lucky escape

I have to admit, were I (in the extraordinarily unlikely circumstances) to get two parties wanting to meet me atthe same time, my imediate response would be to tell them both and suggest a 3some.........Is that a little wrong?
