What does 'black' mean to you?

I find it interesting, when I see a profile that says black men only - no white or mixed race guys. I have absolutely no problem with this. As some of you know, I'm not keen on the fetishisation of colour or blackness, but people fancy who they fancy and there's nothing wrong in that. However, it did lead me to wonder: what does 'black' mean in this context? How dark exactly? When does darker skin become pale enough that it is also a turn off?

Again, I merely pose the question for discussion, not to stir up an already bubbling pot.

As a black only meter. Maybe I can tell you from my point of view. I like an African man. I dnt meet Asian or mixed or white. Not because I dislike them its through my experiences of African men. That is who I choose to meet. I find them good lovers. I love the colour contrast nothing to do with how big they are. Hope that helps lol

It does.

Very interesting.

What if the man was dark but not African in origin - say, Jamaican for example?

Well I guess its about attraction. If I was attracted to him then yes I guess I would. At the end of the day its really about physical attraction

What I was doing with the Jamaican example, was teasing out whether it was about origin, skin tone or both. It seems, it can’t be reduced to either and is more about culture and attraction.
