Both are different. While Mistress sound like the féminin of Master, the role is different as I assume- rarely doing it-you are not familiar with the bdsm scene.

Master is more for a slave type of dynamic. So maybe you are talking about Dom/Domme...even if Mistress is mostly used for a Domme too.
