This is really down to the emotional intelligence of the people involved. As a simple rule of thumb, the couple should be focussing on giving the woman who has joined them their full attention (except where she gets pleasure from being ‘ignored’ in the scenario, which is sometimes the case). She is likely to have some nerves with a new couple at first while she gushed the dynamic, so showering with attention is important to soften that. If a couple can’t do this while giving each other sufficient attention, they are probably getting a bit ahead of themselves in swinging terms.

And this onus is also on the woman who joins the couple. She should have the emotional intelligence not to give too much attention to one partner rather than the other - unless, once again, that is part of the previously agreed dynamic of the scenario. that the three wish to enjoy.

The problem comes when these feelings come up during and in the heat of the moment the person concerned can’t or doesn’t want to express it - discuss afterwards openly and honestly is then all you can really do.
