Age isn't an issue. My buddy of 5 years is 62 (I'm 31) and I've had the best sex ever with him. Only reason I have an age limit on my profile is so that I can try people around my age again as its been 8 years since I had a bit of younger stuff. My age limit is not set in stone & willing to meet older people if they came along and caught my eye.

Personally I think something very sexual happens with ladies in their 40s and 50s. I am now hornier than when I was 30 and can last longer as well ..lol

Seriously age is a total nothing for me and it always makes me wonder how many lovely people have others missed by limiting their age preferences.

I meet a couple 2 or 3 times a month and it is some of the most amazing sex I ever had ...he is 64 and she is 63. Both fit as f**k and hornier than me so go figure.

I think the "problem" is a lot of profiles have 50 as a cut of point.

I daresay it's disheartening for some to come across someone they want to play with only to be unable to contact them as their filters prohibit it. I don't think someone is "missing out" playing with me no more than I am with a thirty something.

It's sweet, confirmation by other oldies that we can still move like Jagger in the bedroom and give the contestants on Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model a run for their money, but let's enjoy what we have and not worry about those that exclude us.

Past it? Absolutely not! We started serious swinging as a pair when nearly 50 and have had lots and lots of fun regularly since. We think when you get to our age you have lost any inhibitions. Sex is fun at any age but it's GREAT when you're our age!

To illustrate the point, if you had no other info on a couple (they are not actually together - this is to prove a point) other than that the Man is 59 and the Woman is 54, would you expect them to be turned down by those who have a problem with age??? Probably, yes.....

If I then told the unlucky loser that they have just turned down Pierce Brosnan and Sharon Stone........?????? Well?????

Like so many people have said in numerous threads on here, those who have an issue with age - let them get on with it. Those who don't and want to meet people who stimulate and turn them on regardless of age - Hellllloooooooooo!!!!!!!

Someone on here says he 72 on a single profile but 64 on a couples. And men wonder why gals on here have trust issues. But he not the only one I have met who's profiles I havee spotted who makes out younger on different profiles. They say age is a number but to some its a bingo card full of numbers which ever number seems to suit at the time to get a shag. There's some fantastic men and couples on here but they struggle as they tarred with the same brush as those who can't even decide how old they are today.

Just a guess here but as you appreciate (even look for) the extra qualities us older guys can bring to the way you enjoy your fun then as you get older those qualities won't change. So maybe its not really the age difference itself, which of course will reduce, but more a style of play that you can continue to enjoy regardless of your own age?

KinkyKytten - Of course I was not suggesting you should meet any old 'person' and be grateful!! Gawd no!! I think the OP was getting at the perception among 'some' - note that everyone... SOME!!! - younger swingers, that those of us who have crossed the rubicon into the 'maturing disgracefully' stage have outlived there usefulness to the 'under 50's' SOLELY due to passing that milestone.

It's all down to perception, isn't it? The point I was making is that if you allow yourself (as an UNDER 50) to be blinded by the perception that ANYONE over that age couldn't possibly teach them anything about sex/swinging, then look at what you could be missing out on!!!!

Personally, if I ever got to within striking distance of Sharon Stones ass, I would be in 7th heaven - even if I was 21!!!! And I am sure it is a similar thing for ladies much younger than 50 when it comes to the debonair charms of said Mr Brosnan?????

No I was just agreeing with the statement that for those who do have an age preference then fine let them get on with it. So where does that come out to be I am saying no one is entitled to that and you have to meet everyone? Nowhere and there was no need to imply that either.

And I don't think I ever said anything about who you choose to engage with. But its interesting to see you back off from your own age preferences when it suits you. So why publish them? Just confused.com here now.

To illustrate the point, if you had no other info on a couple (they are not actually together - this is to prove a point) other than that the Man is 59 and the Woman is 54, would you expect them to be turned down by those who have a problem with age??? Probably, yes.....

Like so many people have said in numerous threads on here, those who have an issue with age - let them get on with it. Those who don't and want to meet people who stimulate and turn them on regardless of age - Hellllloooooooooo!!!!!!!

When I had a single profile on here I fibbed about my age (knocked 6 years off) and very nearly missed out on meeting the love of my life - his preference was for ladies his own age! Thankfully we met, I came clean & 2 & half years on we are happier than ever! Now 51 & if anyone thinks 51 is 'past it' their loss not ours!

Loads of age ranges on profiles stop at age 50.

I'm 55 and don't lie about it but certainly don't look my age or even act my age!!

Was in PC World yesterday and they had a range of books specifically aimed at the over 50's as if we were all senile and din't know how to work a computer.

In an odd way we are sort of agreeing here! We both see the person not the age especially in a socila / party / club environment (as I posted a story before). It is difficult and the selecton of a an age range shouldn't be seen as 'fixed' or 'arbitrary' but more a guideline as you have said. Oh and never change your mind to please others ..

For me the first two things I look at are location and age range and then quickly click on the 'Send Message' button. Not to send a message but to see if the site warning message comes up or I get blocked! This tends to indicate how people would view me and so I don't waste their time by sending a pointless message or mine by reading further. Maybe the age range tab should have an additional button to select the filters?

fab is for all despite their 'ages', as its more a state of mind, attitude etc

not in denial on the 'numbers'...

dont want to and in some cases cant do some of the things one did in 20's, 30's and 40's..

No you're not past it at 50!

There are lots of happy swingers in their 50s, try browsing Fab's database.

Age is a criterion used by swingers to select potential meets but not the only one.

"Ol genuine folk" exist on Fab, I've met a few! Good luck and don't give up!
