Talk to people. Just talk. Use the social area of the club to socialise and it will pay dividends. If you're not sure what to say tell people that. If someone looks good tell them - they'll have put effort in and appreciate genuine compliments.

When it's a couple speak to both of them.

Don't assume it all has to be sex talk.

Don't be one of the puppy dogs, following your target around all night, 'adjusting' your towel and hoping you'll get picked - the invites go to either the stunning or to those that have put a little work in.

Talk to everyone, not just the hot ones. It's a small world and that munter could a) be a really good laugh and b) know everyone and introduce you.

Do go with expectations. You may get to play, you may not. You may get to watch, you may not. Treat it as a pub/club night with a little more and you won't be disappointed.

REMEMBER: if you weren't invited to then don't touch! If you think you were invited but are not sure then just double check - manners cost nothing but will take you far.

If you're watching, don't crowd the players. If they're playing in an open room they are happy to be watched, but noone wants an unplanned facial...

Make sure you get a good tour of the club when you arrive and get all the rules and rooms explained to you. Ask the staff to introduce you to some regulars.

Good luck and have fun.

Some great advice there. Nothing worse than having a shadow all night.

Good info there Tempting. As with everything in life it doesn't always follow a set driteria, but what you have written is a good general guideline for a single guy.

This is a really great post for me too as I have never been to a club and for all people who have never been. Thanks
