Having received abuse for ‘having too many verifications’ is there some sort of etiquette I’m missing?

I’ve been on fab for a number of years, hosted parties, attended clubs so have a lot of verifications from both social and play meets.

I’ve always believed verifications are a good way of letting people know you’re real and what you’re like and whether you want to get to know them? Am I wrong? Or is it that people just can’t be bothered to read them? Or is it just another way to abuse people?

What are your thoughts people? X

Personally I'd say 45,564.3 verifications is just b too many. Anything below that seems just about right I'd say...

It doesn't bother me how many verifications a guy has,if they are explicit then ,it's a turn off

I wouldn’t judge anyone from say 200+ verifications. As some could come from socials or regular meets from other people you get on with.

The issue is generally people seeing them and not reading them. Also if you’ve been on here for sometime and regularly attend clubs and socials a lot, in a short amount of time it can also appear excessive but if unread, could just be ‘enjoyed a quick drink with this couple etc...’

My only caveat to that is endless Webcam verifications, these are next to useless after a couple. No indication of meeting anyone (obviously this was prior to COVID) so what use is ‘has a great body’ it doesn’t tell you much.

As you’ve hidden yours now, I’d reopen them again to let everyone know how reliable and genuine you are

I think they are very good way of just making sure someone is real and not just a timewaster. If someone doenst have verifications - I see not point in really engaging with them. I understand that some people dont want to show veris - but given the number of time wasters, its just the most useful of screening between those who are real and those who are not

Doesn't bother me as many of them could be social meets, it is nobody's business but your own far too many people on here are way too judgmental

Yes endless webcam veris aren’t really helpful are they

. I’m having a break from fab, which is why my profile has been heavily cropped, just chatting with friends mainly x

This is an interesting one for me today. I joined just before Christmas and have had no meets yet. Covid kicked in as the first one was in the planning!

I had a message out of the blue today from someone saying they loved my pics but then looked at my profile and they were disappointed by how many verifications I had!

Seemed an odd message to get, not sure why they felt they had to tell me that but there you go. But interested to know if I have too many now

I rarely take notice of how many a lady or couple have, as long as they have some. All webcam verifications would usually tell me they don't actually meet, ok, may be different now slightly. I just use a meet verification as proof that they do physically meet, if only for a social. I guess the more you have the better.

Very interesting post OP..

People will always judge no matter what.. but for me being a single guy on here with 41 verifications it just goes to show how genuine i am as a single man.. Ive been approached many times and told the reason they approached was because of how positive and highly spoken about i was.. we as single men are painted in the negative light more than anything here. But if you stand out the proof is in the pudding..

For women and couples about 10 is enough a few socials and a couple of naughty ones, no need for webcams just makes you look like a phycho. For men maximum 2-3 or your a dirty slaaaag

Women should have no more than one, and that should be a social one preferably from someone of social standing, such as a doctor or the local vicar.

I, like most people, am only looking for virgins and anyone who's actually met anyone for sex is clearly the worst kind of harlot and not someone I'd ever want to associate with.

We had the reaction from someone we hadn’t seen for a long while, that we’d been “busy” in the meantime when they checked our veris. Didn’t sound too positive.

We don’t see it like that at all, our veris are from new friends at clubs, mainly focused on the social side, nothing explicit. Yes we were going out a lot, yes we love a party, yes we like making new friends.

I don't have any veri's, & whilst I only rejoined the site after a break during lockdown I wouldn't really expect to have any.

It is however surprising how many people won't even entertain speaking to you because you don't have verifications on your profile.

The other concern for me here is when meet restrictions are eventually lifted it'll look like I've been a member of fab for ages & had no verified meets...& therefore I must be a weirdo

We look at Veri’s to give us some confidence in who we are talking to. In terms of numbers, we don’t mind. We tend to look for actual meets rather than webcam, etc but understand the issues this causes currently!

But it is only part of the equation of interest. For us no profile pic/silhouette, no pic’s, limited profile info also make us lose interest quickly. If people message us, we do try to message back, but one liners do not promote much interest...

5 veris is too many for me.

If people don't like your veris you're just not compatible. If they are abusive be thankful you won't be meeting them.
