Swindon to bristol

Naturism or nudism is a cultural and political movement practising, advocating and defending social nudity in private and in public. It may also refer to a lifestyle ...

I had to look it up!

Naturism is all about leading a lifestyle and being free and at one with nature, i.e. as nature intended.

Nudists are just kinky show off perverts.

Hello Adamandnatasha,

not at all, nudist is just a term that's gone out of fashion and replaced by naturist. They are the same thing.

Its difference is possibly similar to that of Swinging and Swapping.

Naturism tends to be the word that british "Naturists" use, whilst Americans tend to use the word "Nudism" (it's easier for them to spell)

I was ammused once by an American who thought that David Attenborough was a "naturist"

oh no its not lol........ naturist believe that our bodies are nothing to be ashamed of and we should be able to be naked where ever it can be done legally............... nudists have no discrimination as to where, when or how they go naked!!!

peak district

A lot of naturists are 'happy valley sun club' types who believe nakedness should be allowed everywhere and are often quite militant about it - such as going on nude bike rallies in towns, campaigning etc. Sex is a dirty word for these types, it's 'no sex please, we're naturists.'

We just like to take our clothes off on the beach, in the sun and with other people for some good group-sex. The average member of British Naturism would be horrified and that organization has said that people like us give naturism a bad name, so maybe we should be calling ourselves nudists?
