Not something we do, but people generally oversimplify this subject way too much. No such thing as 100% protection from infection as long as there's any form of contact. fingers, tongues, toys, whatever... Those shouting about SAFE SEX!!! in capitals are more than likely exposing themselves to infection in all sorts of other ways. If you reduce it all down to a binary safe / not safe context, you mostly show that you don't have a good enough grip on the issues at hand.
