I have been 'told off' by a total stranger for hiding my profile

I said I had hidden it because I don't need to meet anyone new at the moment. The response was 'so how am I supposed to know if I am going to fuck you or not ?'

I replied that I had already made that decision ! Lol

Amazing how many people on here think they have the right to tell you how to use the site

Another one said I'd never get a meet without pictures - I have got pictures when not hidden and I have got plenty of verifications

Only the profile text and pictures (if changed to private) are hidden. The tab menu is still there.

I hate it when people message us or add us as friends when their profile is hidden.. it seems like a stupid facility to have on the site.. if you don't wanna be on here don't be on here.... and the excuse about keeping in contact with old friends is a crap one because they always have msn.. and if they don't use that they will have a telephone...

What I include in my profile and what I do with it is entirely my own business.

If peeps do not like it, tough, and I shall delete their messages before blocking them from further contacts.

I won't get wound up by it, as life is too short to be wound up by total strangers that I do not care about!

I don't message when I hidden I hide my profile its because my life has taken a temporary turn and I can't meet. I don't want to delete my profile as when home is sorted I want to meet but I want some 'time out' from meets so hiding profile works for me. But I do see why messages and friends requests from hidden are not wanted I don't see the point in hiding profile if you going to be fully active its great for me as a carer to hide without having to delete though

I totally agree with that response. We've not hidden our profile, just changed the text temporarily.

One step we have taken is to block all sexes from mailing us. It saves us reading pointless messages from people who can't read the profile and/or question our decision not to meet at the moment.

I do get a bit annoyed when people (who arent on my friends list or I've already been in touch with) who have hidden their profile message me

We've just recently hidden our profile for our own reasons and I was confused to find two messages in our inbox this morning, along with a friend request. None of these are from people we have been talking to already.

We have chosen not to respond because it would seem obvious that a couple with a hidden profile do not want to meet currently. I don't even know how they found us!

I just wish there were even more so as to improve my own chances!

You have every write to hide your profile when ever and as often as you like and never ever give a response to anyone who questions you over it.

It's as simple as that!

I hide my profile fairly regularly as it stops new people writing and allows me time to catch up with my mail. Not gonna move to MSN/phone when everyone is already contactable on here.

They could mail you by clicking into your hidden profile from a forum post... Or from someone you have verifieds profile.....

lol x dont do msn and i dont chat on the phone with any swinger friends, i message here and occasionally i hide my profile cos of i dont want to be active. no harm in that, its called doing what i please x lol
