Haha brilliant, I've heard some people talk about it in different ways in the past.

It’s been a while since I started. Back in 1940 I thought we ought to do something to stabilise the pound so I pegged it to the dollar. It was a Bretton Woods I really got pegging however.

I had a good run but by 1971 I was exhausted so went back to free floating

Well...
