I was watching a Stacey Dolley documentary. It was about a massive problem with spy cameras in South Korea. Men are using spy cams to secretly record women in public toilets such as in bars, restaurants, shopping malls, shop changing rooms, etc.

I was talking to a mate about it. He said he read lots of air bnb owners have been caught secretly recording unsuspecting renters having sex.

Worryingly he said he also read on a UK swingers website (he forgets which one)

about a couple boasting they always secretly record their meets for their own pleasure.

I find that very worrying. I would hate to find out I was secretly recorded during a meet.

The spy cameras can be all sorts of things such as

USB flash drive spy cameras. ...

Men's shower gel spy cameras. ...

Wi-Fi AC adapter spy cameras. ...

Electrical outlet spy cameras. ...

Toilet brush spy cameras. ...

Smoke detector spy cameras. ...

Clock radio spy cameras. ...

Cellphone charger spy cameras.

What is wrong with these people?

I am not against being filmed. I have been filmed during meets. My face was not filmed and I obviously knew the filming was going on.

I've heard about air BnB having issues with spy cams. I don't mind being filmed but I don't like being lied to! Xx

i have looked at a few air bnb places when i needed to stay somewhere.

what put me off was the extras that bumped the price up.

£50 to clean the room afterwards was a common one.

1 went to a hotel instead lol

If you have a old android phone you can turn it in to a WiFi blocker witch will block the transmission off data going from camera to receiver

Tend to not have a problem with that as I only accommodate And have a no phones out rule the minute you step foot in ur phone dose not come out

If doing hotel meets I always make shour I am the person who booked it and so someone can’t set anything up like that

If you want a home movie to take away all they have to do is ask I gladly alow to be filmed with my camera

Then you afterwords they can sit and watch me edit video blur what needs to be blurred out ie faces tattoos and background stuff and then watch me delete original none edited video

Exactly this. Anyone I meet is welcome to film it if they ask first, so I'd hope that none of them would feel the need to lie

I have always assumed hotel rooms were bugged scince 9/11, for security reasons.

I tend to avoid them for meets.

I don't find it particularly worrying: nobody in their right mind would want to film me and I try to avoid meeting people who are obviously out of their wits.

Anyone who did film me deserves to be forced to watch it afterwards.

We’d really hope that our judgement is good enough that the people we meet wouldn’t be the sort of people to secretly film it. We don’t mind being on film or pictures but do like to be quite selective about what’s in there.

As for air bnb. We’re not exactly shy but that couldn’t be more of an invasion of privacy. If we found out would take that as far as we could.

We don't trust anybody we meet via the Internet. We wouldn't expect them to trust us either. Therefore we're always aware of the potential for there to be an agenda other than that stated.

I'm often surprised at the level of trust people are prepared to place in complete strangers considering some of the things you see and hear.
