No contraception is 100%, so maybe she was being honest.

No contraception is 100%, so maybe she was being honest.

He took the risk, and thankfully he also took responsibility.

It is a fact that contraception can fail so it is right that he should provide financial support. There is the option of vasectomy (which can almost always be reversed) for a man who is not prepared to be responsible in the event of a ladies LARC failing so your friend hasn't done something spectacular by taking responsibility, he has done exactly what he should do

I’d agree - but I’m using the story to highlight the fact that this isn’t a ‘fantasy’ - It’s a very real risk and has permanent repercussions if you go through with it.

What is probably more of concern are some of the replies that seem to share an interest this somewhat dubious practice.
