BBW or just lumps and bumps?

What are people’s opinions on what constitutes a BBW? The reason I ask, is that I am not toned or sleek like some stunningly beautiful women on here, I am a size 14ish and have some curves, lumps and bumps. However, I am not as beautifully curvaceous as others also. Therefore, I feel that I may have fallen into the ‘forgotten category’ and I’d just like to know what to annotate on our profile. This post isn’t looking for haters or body shamers but asking what people’s opinions are. x

Please don’t doubt your appeal. I know I suffer from the same worries and usually try to wear lots of sexy underwear to cover up the worst bits.

I was a size 18/20 and have now lost 3 stone and am currently a size 16.

My worst part is my « apron » where my stomach has shrunk but not enough yet.

I find generally that men that are not so worried and find all women’s’ bodies lovely. There are some that don’t but I don’t meet men that don’t find me attractive.

I have been told that men prefer women that are comfortable and proud of their bodies as that confidence makes a difference.

Maybe ask your partner to pick a different part of your body to praise and worship each day to improve your confidence.

I wouldn't say you could describe yourself as BBW. I use fabulous because I refuse to describe myself as average. I think others can decide if they're attracted to me from our photos.

I get what you’re saying completely, the Mr is fantastic and would love to savour me to himself sometimes, he is always complimentary but we enjoy so much about the open minded socialising, fantasy, intrigue and anticipation along with the play. However, I am so unsure how to class myself as I don’t want others to feel I’ve hidden something... and well done for the weight loss etc xxx

Thank you for your response as I feel genuinely unsure and as you say, ‘average’ sounds like ‘satisfactory’ which is no way what I wish to state... xx

I don't class myself as BBW. I'm big and I'm a woman but not sure I'd class myself as beautiful lol... however, I have used the term fabulous on my profile to describe myself. For me it's a state of mind. You, my lovely are gorgeous

Saw an article where the likes of Beyonce, Rhianna and Lady Ga Ga were described as fat and disgusting.

If you like your women to look like Keira Knightley and Victoria Beckham then yes they're big, it really is all subjective.

In the current climate, I know life goes on, but you'd think it'd give us perspective on what's important, but as in all things different strokes for different folks.

Bbw is a ready reckoner on sites like these: lets people know, if no pictures available you're not a size 8. Op, I wouldn't class you as bbw.

I think I would fit the same catagory. I've been up and down with my weight over the year, been a lovely slim 10-12 and bbw 18-20. Now I am middle not toned size 14 with mum tum and all the trimmings. Know how you feel op.

No idea what I am anymore!

What I'm hearing from you is concern that people are going to be disappointed when they meet you unless you describe yourself realistically and realistically *to you* means in faintly derogatory terms.

The people you're going to meet won't have perfect bodies, far from it and they won't expect you to either. You look great

Maybe we need a mum-bod category, same way as dad bod? Sort of average sizes (not plus size) but with some extra curves?

Sounds good but so far, I’m quite liking the ‘fabulous’ label...

Size 18 upwards are considered as bbw and they are overall large in body size and not fat or obese but curvy .

Size 14 is just curvy and you have an amazing body .

We all have hang ups about our bodies. Wishing we had slimmer this or better that.

We are all different in every way.

You do learn to love what you have as you get older.

We always see different to what other people see.

Focus on your good points and embrace your body.

Just reading your thread you seem like a beautiful lady inside and out..

I am size 8/10 and have a few lumps and bumps like everyone else. Nobody is perfect so just be happy with who you are and what you have.
