Hey all, last night I treated my man to a night in a hotel. After we'd had dinner, we went back to the room and I asked him not to enter for five mins whilst I put some lingerie on (it didn't go under the dress I was wearing). It took way longer than five minutes, as I fought to fasten them up to my suspenders - is there a quick/easy way to do this?! Advice very welcome!

if I’m with a guy I get them to do it after I’m good to go - it adds to the ‘heat’ if you ask them to do it for you

The worst is when you think you’ve got it.... and them one twangs undone again!

I attach mine while while wearing my belt and just twist them around my leg a little to make them easier to reach although a friend of mine attaches them to her belt/girdle before putting any of it on so while it is a little fiddly lining them up that way, it is all attached ready to pull on in one go.

As long as they have decent tight fitting clasps you should be OK, looser fitting ones i find often come undone.

I've never thought of that either (stupidly). And going for more retro style, larger metal clasps if you can also makes the process easier. The smaller plastic ones are usually a nightmare.

make sure the clasps are the good all metal ones with a good broad fitting rather than the cheap nasty ones with stupid plastic/rubber clips usualy better to have six or more suspenders less strain and usualy better quality .also a large hair bobble/scrunchy around the top of the stoking will hold it in place whilst you fasten up also usefull for hold ups that dont ! nice little trick from modeling scene

Pull the stockings up straight up the thighs as if holdups,then get hold of the back of the stocking where you want the back suspender to go, then move the stocking around your thigh to the side and attach the back suspender where your finger tips are holding the stocking top, when fastened move the stocking backwards so the suspender is in the right place at the back and then attach the front one.

My fiancé is useless at fastening hers so I have to attach hers before she goes out. When she wears them, the other thing Real women do and I can’t understand it is the outvthe suspenders outside the knickers, surely if you are wearing them on a night out women will need the loo and you cannot pull ya panties down below your stocking tops if they go outside your knickers, for me suspenders are always indie the knickers so that you can pull panties down or hopefully the guy can if he wants to

A lot of ladies not used to wearing stockings and suspenders use hold up stockings these are unsuitable because of the extra thickness caused by the rubberised strip of the holdups, use proper stockings!

Buy suspenders with proper metal clasps. Plastic ones are useless and always come undone. Metal are much better and look ultra sexy in my point of view.

If they are hold ups with lacy top they can be difficult. Ordinary stockings are easy. Adjust suspender to full length first. Attach stocking then tighten

Said friend here and yes, so much easier to attatch them first then put it all on together

I love the look and feel of fully fashioned stockings, but know the stress that can ensue getting the (at least) 6 straps attached. Then there is the straightening of the seams- again a joy, but it takes commitment!

As many have mentioned, metal clasps are essential, and attaching beforehand is a sneaky trick. Also having all straps at their longest length, before adjusting in situ helps.

The hassle though is worth it. Whilst a fan of all types of stockings, the look when paired with a suspender belt is sensational.

As a lover of Fully Fashioned Stockings, I find that 6 suspenders works best. I agree, if the stocking is a little short it can occasionally be difficult to fasten the back one.

I ALWAYS wear a good quality suspender belt ... with quality metal and rubber suspenders. Modern type suspender belts with plastic suspenders I have always found flimsy and fiddly ... so avoid them xx

I do both of these things. Also as i find it hard to buy fashoined or normal topped stockings in the high street, i buy hold ups and place srategic holes in the tops at the place i want to attach. These holes normally fall between the tacky bands of the hold ups. Only make the hole with a biro so its only just enough to pass the clip through then its clip to clip and holds really well. ???? Growing up i never dreamt i would be giving this type of advice ....how times have changed and how liberated have we become ...
